XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Ferrari F360 2001-2006

A 360 Modena built for tarmac stages or gravel special sections is a rare creature, but it exists – and when it does, factory dampers are the first thing on the workshop floor. The F360’s all-aluminium spaceframe, mid-rear V8 mass and 45/55 weight bias were tuned for circuit composure, not the violent compressions and kerb strikes of a rally itinerary. Pro Rally is the answer when the brief shifts from Fiorano to a Welsh forest stage or an Italian hillclimb.

This is the professional-spec coilover from the XYZ Racing rally programme – designed to be fitted to an F360 whose body has already been modified for competition. It is not a bolt-in road conversion. It assumes the chassis has been prepared, the arches reworked where needed, and the geometry is being set by someone who knows what they are doing with a rally Ferrari.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2006 Ferrari F360

Damping rates are calibrated for the loaded compressions a 360 sees over crests and yumps – the situation a standard or even a track-spec damper will simply blow through and bottom out. Ride height is fully adjustable so the F360’s notoriously low nose can be lifted clear of stage debris without losing the geometry the chassis needs to rotate. Spring and damper specification is biased toward keeping the rear contact patch loaded under power, which matters on a mid-engined car where lift-off on a crest can pitch the tail before the driver has finished the corner. The end result is a Ferrari F360 that survives a stage finish in the condition it arrived in, with the driver still in the seat.

About the Pro Rally coilover

Pro Rally is XYZ Racing’s top-flight rally coilover, built in two distinct specifications – one for chassis that retain the original body shell and bolt-in mounting, and the Professional type which is the one you want for an F360. The Professional spec assumes the bodywork has been modified to accept it: revised top mounts, relocated lower pickups where the build calls for it, and the additional travel a real rally damper requires. Construction is gravel and snow biased, with internal valving that handles the long, slow compressions of stage-rally terrain rather than the short, sharp inputs of a circuit kerb. The whole assembly is set up to be serviced between events, not sealed for the life of the part.

Fitment for the Ferrari F360 (2001-2006)

This kit is specified for the FE01 chassis F360 across the full 2001 to 2006 production run, covering Modena and Spider variants on the standard suspension architecture. The Professional fitment assumes the F360’s body has been prepared for rally use – this is not a drop-in replacement for the factory dampers on an unmodified road car.
