XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW X3 F25 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2010-2017

The F25 X3 is an unlikely drift platform, and that is precisely why this kit exists. xDrive’s torque-split behaviour and the SUV’s high centre of gravity mean a standard coilover swap will not produce the angle a competitive driver actually needs – the body rolls too far before the rear breaks loose, and the front end loads up in a way that kills initiation. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the 2010-2017 Bmw X3 F25 4WD addresses both problems and resolves the electronic damping conflict at the same time.

Bundled into this part number is the cancellation kit for the factory EDC system, so the dash stays clean once the OEM struts come out. That matters on the F25 because without the bypass the car throws a suspension fault the moment the ignition is cycled.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2017 Bmw X3 F25 4WD

Drift Spec damping is set up to keep the body flat through a high-speed entry, then let the rear rotate predictably once the handbrake or clutch-kick goes in. On a tall, four-wheel-drive platform like the F25, that translates to a noticeably calmer mid-corner attitude and a sharper, more repeatable initiation. Ride height drops bring the roll centre back under control, and the bump-stroke geometry has been worked specifically so the chassis settles in its lowered position rather than running out of travel. The EDC cancellation module clears the dash warning and lets you run the coilover without the factory ECU fighting the new dampers. The result is a 4WD SUV that you can actually hold at angle, not one fighting its own ride height management.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is XYZ Racing’s purpose-narrow option for competitive drifting, not a re-badged street coilover. The design priority is high-speed body stability during the turn-in phase, so the spring and damping pairing is biased toward keeping the chassis composed when the front tyres are being loaded heavily on entry. Once the car is committed, the damper curves allow controlled weight transfer so the rear axle can be steered on throttle without the body pitching unpredictably. The bump-stroke window after lowering has been calibrated so the chassis sits in a usable working range rather than crashing into bump-stops mid-slide. Pair that with the EDC cancellation kit included for the F25 application and the install is a straight swap with no warning lights or limp behaviour from the factory suspension ECU.

Fitment for the Bmw X3 (2010-2017)

This kit fits the F25-generation X3 with 4WD and factory Electronic Damping Control – chassis code BM79-C, years 2010-2017. The cancellation module is bundled, so no separate EDC bypass is required. Confirm your car has EDC fitted before ordering; non-EDC F25s take the standard Drift Spec part number, not this one.

Configure your spring rate and ride-height preference for the F25 X3 below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
