XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW X3 F25 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2010-2017

The F25-generation X3 was sold with adaptive electronic damping on many xDrive cars, and that factory hardware is exactly what gets in the way the moment you want a fixed, properly adjustable setup. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Bmw X3 F25 4WD ships with a cancellation kit for the electronic damping, so the original EDC sensors and control unit can be retired without leaving the dash lit up with fault codes.

This is the loose-surface end of the XYZ Racing range. Built around longer-travel dampers front and rear, it targets rally and rallycross use, where the X3’s xDrive traction and tall, heavy body need suspension that keeps working when the tarmac runs out.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2017 Bmw X3 F25 4WD

On a near-1.8-tonne AWD SUV that carries its mass high, the first thing you feel is composure. The extended damper travel front and rear gives the F25 a larger buffer before the suspension runs out of stroke, so big compressions over crests, ruts and broken surfaces are absorbed rather than fired back through the shell. The enlarged oil and nitrogen volume holds damping consistent as the shocks heat up across a long stage, where a smaller unit would fade. Three-way adjustment separates bump and rebound control, so you can soften the X3 for slush and gravel or firm it up as the surface hardens. With the EDC deleted, every change you dial is mechanical and repeatable rather than overridden by the factory control unit.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for rally and rallycross rather than smooth circuit work. Its defining trait is travel: both front and rear dampers run longer than a tarmac-biased kit, which increases the buffer distance the suspension has to work with and keeps the car settled when the ground turns hostile. Inside, XYZ Racing has increased the volume of both shock oil and nitrogen gas. That extra capacity resists the heat build-up that would otherwise exhaust a damper’s oil over a long, hard run, keeping performance steady deep into a stage. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs, and the small oil passages in that valving mean a faint noise can be heard as oil moves through them over large bumps – that is normal behaviour for this design, not a fault.

Fitment for the Bmw X3 F25 4WD (2010-2017)

This kit is specified for the F25-generation Bmw X3 4WD (xDrive), covering the 2010 to 2017 production run and listed under chassis code BM79-C in the XYZ Racing catalogue. It includes the cancellation kit needed to retire the car’s factory electronic damping, so it suits F25 models that left the line with EDC fitted. Confirm your X3 is the 4WD/xDrive variant before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
