XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Toyota CELICA ST202 ST203 (Fr Welding) 1993-1999

The 6th-generation Celica’s front-wheel-drive layout puts almost all its weight transfer through the nose under braking and turn-in, which is exactly the behaviour that catches a driver out the moment the surface changes from tarmac to loose gravel or packed snow. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built around that reality, with longer-travel dampers front and rear that keep the ST202 and ST203’s wheels following the ground instead of skipping across ruts, washboard and compacted ridges.

Where a circuit-biased coilover would run out of travel at the first big compression, this kit is set up to absorb the hit and get the power back down straight away. It is the spec to run if the ST202 or ST203 in question spends more time on a forest stage or a snow-covered rallycross loop than it does on smooth asphalt.

What this coilover does for your 1993-1999 Toyota Celica ST202 ST203

Longer-stroke pistons at both ends give the ST202/ST203 more working range before the suspension tops or bottoms out over a crest, a rut, or a snowbank hidden under fresh cover. That extra travel is what keeps a wheel loaded and steering effective when the surface stops being flat. A larger onboard volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas delays the point at which oil temperature climbs high enough to affect damping consistency, so the car behaves the same on the last stage of the day as it did on the first. Three external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound between a dry gravel test and a snow-packed forest section without stripping the dampers down, which matters when the weather changes between runs, not between events.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This coilover is built primarily for rally and rallycross use, and it trades outright stiffness for travel and durability. Longer-stroke construction front and rear opens up a bigger working window before either end reaches its limit, which counts for more on a rutted stage than it does on a kerbed apex. Inside each damper sits a bigger reserve of oil and nitrogen gas than XYZ’s tarmac-focused kits carry, so the shock has more capacity to absorb heat before consistency starts to fall away over a long stage or a full day’s running. The three external adjustment knobs work through a small-orifice oil-passage design, and on the roughest ground that passage can produce a faint noise as oil moves through it under repeated big hits – this is a normal characteristic of the design, not a fault, and it is not something to be concerned about over sustained rough running. Overall, it is a kit engineered around covering unpredictable, broken ground rather than chasing a single lap time.

Fitment for the Toyota Celica ST202 ST203 (1993-1999)

This kit fits the 6th-generation Toyota Celica ST202 and ST203, chassis code TO20, built between 1993 and 1999. Front strut mounts on this application are a welded fitment rather than a bolt-in swap, so factor that step into the install rather than treating it as a straight strut-for-strut change.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
