XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Toyota CELICA ST202 ST203 (Fr Welding) 1993-1999

The ST202/ST203 Celica’s front subframe was never designed around serious lateral load, which is exactly why front-end mounting reinforcement matters before you push a 1990s front-drive-derived platform onto a circuit. Front-strut welding on this Circuit Master kit addresses that directly, tying the top mount into the chassis with far less flex than the factory bolt-in point ever offered. For sustained lap-time work rather than a single fast road blast, that stiffness is what keeps your line consistent from lap three through lap twenty.

This is a coilover built around repetition. The ST202/ST203 platform gives away some rigidity compared to the later Corolla-based E12 chassis it shares components with, and once you start stacking laps the front end is the first thing to move around under you. Circuit Master’s job is to keep that front-end geometry doing the same thing on the last lap of a session as it did on the first.

What this coilover does for your 1993-1999 Toyota CELICA ST202 ST203 (Fr Welding)

With 9720 damping combinations spread across the range, you’re not picking between three or four canned settings – you’re finding the exact balance between front-end bite and rear stability that this chassis needs once you’ve addressed its natural understeer. The three external adjustment knobs put compression and rebound within reach trackside, so a change in tyre compound or a shift in ambient temperature between sessions doesn’t mean a wasted outing while you guess your way back to a working setup. Welded front mounts remove the compliance that would otherwise eat into every adjustment you make – there’s no point dialling in a stiffer spring rate if the mounting point itself is absorbing the load. Expect sharper turn-in response and a front axle that stays loaded through direction changes instead of pattering over kerbs and camber changes mid-corner.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s range, built specifically for drivers who take their car onto a circuit repeatedly rather than once a season. It’s been run and developed through feedback from XYZ’s racing teams competing internationally, which is where the 9720-way adjustment count comes from – that breadth exists because teams needed to correct setup between different tracks and grip conditions, not because bigger numbers sell better. The three-knob layout uses a small-orifice oil-passage design for damping control; at low speed over sharp bumps this can produce a faint noise from the damper body as oil moves through that restricted passage. That’s a function of the fine adjustability, not a fault, and it’s built into the design specifically because kerbs and track surface irregularities are what this coilover is meant to be driven over. Construction is monotube-style with the external reservoir and knobs mounted for trackside access, and the whole unit is designed to hold its setting session after session rather than needing to be re-torqued or re-checked constantly.

Fitment for the Toyota CELICA ST202 ST203 (Fr Welding) (1993-1999)

This kit is built for the ST202 and ST203 Celica, chassis code TO20, covering the 1993 to 1999 model years. Front strut top mounts are welded rather than bolted, so fitment includes that reinforcement work as part of the installation rather than as an optional extra.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
