XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru LEVORG VM 4WD 2014-2020

Competitive drifting in a 4WD wagon is not the same job as drifting a RWD coupe, and the Drift Spec coilover for the LEVORG VM is built around that difference. With power going to all four corners, the car needs the front axle to load and unload predictably as the driver feeds in throttle to rotate the chassis, rather than washing wide or snapping back under the wagon’s extra length and mass.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec kit lowers the VM and reworks its bump stroke so the body stays flat and controllable through the transition into a slide, not just at the apex. That matters more on a 4WD platform, where body roll and pitch feed straight back into how much traction the front tyres can find to help steer the rear around.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 Subaru LEVORG VM 4WD

Once fitted, the LEVORG sits lower and settles faster after weight transfer, which means less of the wallow that a factory-height AWD wagon shows when it’s asked to change direction quickly. The reworked bump stroke keeps the suspension working through its travel during hard entry and mid-slide correction instead of topping or bottoming out, so the chassis holds its angle rather than fighting the driver. That stability under high-speed turning is the difference between a clean, committed line and a car that needs constant correction. For a car this size and this heavy compared with a typical drift platform, that predictability at the limit is the whole point of the kit.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range specifically around competition drifting rather than grip driving or fast-road comfort. The core aim is body control during high-speed direction changes, so the car holds a clean, consistent angle instead of the body pitching and rolling independently of what the tyres are doing underneath it. Ride height comes down as part of the setup, and the bump stroke is calibrated around that lower ride height rather than treated as an afterthought, which is what lets the chassis stay composed as the driver works the throttle and steering together. It is a kit built for drivers chasing a repeatable, committed slide angle, not outright ride comfort.
