XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 992 GT3 (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2021-2026

Running a 992 GT3 sideways in competition is an exercise in managing a car never intended to drift – and that rear-engine weight bias is central to why. With the majority of the GT3’s mass sitting behind the rear axle, the car loads its rear tyres differently to any front- or mid-engine competitor. Holding a sustained angle requires the suspension to stabilise the body through entry, sustain the platform mid-corner, and not spike into snap oversteer the moment power returns.

The factory PASM electronic damping works against all of that. It reads body movement and adjusts to resist it – correct behaviour for road use, wrong behaviour on a drift competition pad. This Drift Spec coilover bypasses that system entirely via the included cancellation kit, delivering static, driver-managed damping on a chassis where consistency at high-speed angles is what actually matters.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 Porsche 992 GT3

Ride height reduction in this spec is paired with carefully managed bump stroke – the geometry relationship XYZ identifies as central to repeatable, controllable angle across a range of conditions. With the rear mass of the naturally aspirated flat-six and gearbox sitting rearward in the 992’s bodywork, spring rates need to hold the rear platform without triggering the unbalanced snap that an improperly configured rear-engined car can deliver mid-drift. These coilovers are set up to stabilise the body during high-speed rotation and build angle cleanly: lowered ride height, managed bump stroke, predictable response. PASM removed from the equation means the chassis reacts to driver inputs alone, not electronics trying to restore a line you have deliberately abandoned.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec is a suspension developed specifically for drift competition, built around the demands of high-speed, sustained lateral load. Construction prioritises platform stability during rotation – the condition that separates a car that holds angle from one that flicks erratically through it. Ride height sits lower than a road or circuit position to tighten the relationship between bump stroke and body roll, enabling the angle management described in XYZ’s development brief for the product. Unlike road or circuit-biased coilovers where progressive, comfort-tolerant damping is a considered design target, the Drift Spec is built to communicate directly: driver input, chassis response, nothing in between. For the 992 GT3 application, the kit includes the electronic damping cancellation hardware required to remove Porsche’s factory PASM from the loop and run the coilovers without active electronic override.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 GT3 (without Hydraulic Lift System) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2021-2026)

This kit fits the 992-generation GT3 (chassis code PO25-C), covering the 2021-2026 build years. The fitment specifies cars built without the optional hydraulic front lift system; the included cancellation kit replaces Porsche’s factory electronic damping management. Confirm your car’s build specification against these details before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
