XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-2/S CABRIOLET (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

The 992 Carrera 2/S is one of the more demanding cars to drift with real intent: the rear-engine weight bias loads the driven axle heavily at sustained angle, and the PASM dampers – effective as they are on road and track – create erratic damping behaviour when paired with a fixed-rate coilover. These XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilovers for the 992 Carrera-2/S Cabriolet address both conditions, giving the driver a geometry-correct platform from which to hold and adjust high-speed angles rather than simply generate them.

The Cabriolet shell carries more mass than the coupe – the reinforced floorpan and convertible roof mechanisms are a genuine weight penalty – so setup tolerance is narrower and consistency matters more. The included PASM cancellation kit removes the signal conflict that makes the factory electronic damping work against a fixed-rate monotube in hard cornering, so the XYZ coilover operates on its own terms throughout the slide.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S Cabriolet

Keeping the 992’s body composed under the lateral loads of competitive drifting is the primary function. By lowering ride height and preserving correct bump stroke at the new geometry, the kit holds the chassis at a stable, consistent attitude through sustained high-speed turns – the kind of body control that lets the driver manage drift angle rather than fight for it. PASM cancellation clears the interference between the factory electronics and the fixed-rate internals, so the rear axle responds to steering input without the system attempting to correct it. On the heavier Cabriolet platform, that responsiveness is particularly consequential – inconsistent damping in a rear-engined car under drift loads rarely ends tidily.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec suspension is built from the ground up around competitive drifting, not revalved from a road or circuit product. The design focus is body stabilisation in high-speed turning: the geometry and valving allow the driver to find and hold an angle while the car stays composed rather than rolling or pitching through it. Lowering ride height – which shifts the centre of gravity in ways that measurably improve drift performance – is something XYZ has built into the operating envelope from the start, with the correct bump stroke maintained at the lowered setting rather than compromised by it. For the 992 fitment, the PASM cancellation kit is included as a functional requirement: running a fixed-rate coilover alongside an active electronic damping system produces chassis conflict that directly undermines the predictable responses the Drift Spec is tuned to deliver.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S Cabriolet (2019-2026)

This kit covers the Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S Cabriolet, chassis code PO20-C, for model years 2019 to 2026. It is specifically for cars without the optional hydraulic front axle lift system – if that system is fitted to your 992, this fitment does not apply. The electronic damping cancellation kit is included to handle the PASM system present on Carrera S variants and optionally on Carrera 2s across this range.

A fixed-rate coilover on a rear-engined, electronically damped Porsche is a specific ask – get the specification right for your 992 Cabriolet build using the configurator below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
