XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT2/ RS (without hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

The 991 GT2 RS puts close to 700bhp through the rear axle of a car that already carries its mass behind the driver, and that combination punishes any damper that runs short on travel or boils its oil after a handful of hot laps. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover answers that with extended stroke and a much larger oil and gas volume than a conventional kit, built to keep the rear planted as the turbocharged flat-six loads it up out of a corner.

This is the top-tier circuit specification in the XYZ Racing range, set up for sustained hard running rather than a single qualifying lap. On a 991 GT2/ RS configured without the hydraulic lift system, it gives you a fully adjustable platform that holds its damping consistency through long sessions, which is exactly where the standard setup starts to fade.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Porsche 991 GT2/ RS

The longer front and rear travel gives the GT2 RS a bigger buffer over kerbs and surface changes, so the rear axle stays settled instead of skipping when you get aggressive with the throttle on corner exit. The increased oil and nitrogen capacity is the headline benefit here: it resists the heat build-up that plagues a 690bhp rear-engined car under repeated braking and loading, so the damping you set on lap one is the damping you still have deep into a stint. Three separate adjustment knobs let you tune bump and rebound independently of ride height, so you can balance the car’s rearward weight bias and take the edge off entry instability. Set it firm for the circuit and the platform stays flat and predictable through fast direction changes.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow damper was originally developed for rally and rallycross use, where long suspension travel keeps a car stable over broken ground, and that same long-travel architecture is what makes it effective on a heavy, high-power circuit car. The key engineering is volume: XYZ Racing increased both the suspension oil and the nitrogen gas charge to raise thermal stability and stop the shock oil overheating and fading after extended use. It runs three adjustment knobs, and because those use a small oil-hole design, driving hard over large bumps sends fluid through a restricted passage that can produce a faint noise – this is normal behaviour, not a fault. The longer stroke front and rear is the defining feature, and XYZ Racing states the product is made for circuit tracks where surface bumps are no concern.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT2/ RS (2017-2026)

This kit is specified for the Porsche 991 GT2/ RS, chassis code PO18, across the 2017 to 2026 year span. It is the variant for cars without the hydraulic lift system, so confirm your car is not fitted with front-axle lift before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
