XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz E CLASS W213 4 CYL 2017-2023

Angle is only worth anything if the rear end will hold it. The W213 E-Class’s weight and its 4-cylinder-forward mass balance make a lazy, unstable slide easy to trigger and hard to hold clean at the point where the car should be settling into an arc. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is set up specifically for that job – controlling body movement through the transition so the car stops wallowing and starts responding to your input.

This isn’t a fast-road comfort spec. It’s built around what a drift car needs: a stable platform under sustained lateral load, ride height low enough to shift the roll centre without fighting the geometry, and damping that lets you commit to an angle instead of correcting for one the chassis introduced on its own.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2023 Mercedes Benz E CLASS W213 4 CYL

Once fitted, the biggest change is how the E-Class settles into a slide rather than searching for one. The kit’s damping calibration is built to stabilise body movement mid-transition, so weight transfer through the rear axle happens predictably instead of in a sudden snap. Ride height comes down within a properly judged bump stroke range, dropping the centre of gravity without eating into the travel the suspension needs to keep the tyres loaded as the car rotates. That combination is what turns a big, comfort-biased saloon into something you can actually place at an angle and hold there – the rear stays loaded through the arc instead of unweighting and stepping out further than you asked for. For a car this heavy, that stability under lateral load is the difference between a controlled drift and one that’s fighting you the whole way round.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line around one specific discipline: competitive drifting, not general track use. The internal valving is tuned to keep the body stable through the exact moment most cars get unsettled – the high-speed transition into a turn, where an untuned chassis rolls and pitches enough to break the angle before the driver has committed to it. Lowering the ride height is part of that same package, but only within a bump stroke range calculated to preserve usable travel rather than just dropping the car for looks. The result, per XYZ’s own development brief for this line, is control that holds through the full arc of the slide rather than degrading as the car loads up – what they describe as taking drift control to an excellent standard. It’s a spec built for drivers who are already committed to one discipline and want the chassis to stop being the limiting factor.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz E CLASS W213 4 CYL (2017-2023)

This kit is built for the W213-generation E-Class, 4-cylinder models, covering the 2017 to 2023 production run. Chassis code ME30-1 confirms the specific fitment – check your V5C or chassis plate against this before ordering if you’re unsure which variant you have.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
