XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda STREAM RN6/7/8/9 2006-2014

The Honda Stream RN6-RN9 is an unusual circuit weapon – a six/seven-seat MPV underpinned by Civic-era running gear, which means the chassis responds to a proper coilover in ways its school-run brief never advertised. Drop the centre of gravity, kill the lateral roll the soft factory springs allow, and the RN8 in particular (2.0 R-spec) starts to behave like the hatch it shares DNA with. That is the brief this kit is built for.

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s top-end circuit-focused damper, not the fast-road compromise. For a Stream RN6/7/8/9 being campaigned at trackdays – or kept as a quick, practical track-support hauler – it is the spec that matches the use case. Sustained lap-time work, repeat sessions, consistent damping when oil temperatures climb.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Honda Stream

You feel the body-roll reduction first. The Stream’s high-ish roofline and tall MPV stance mean the standard car loads its outside front hard mid-corner; a properly rated coilover loads all four contact patches more evenly and the front end stops washing wide on turn-in. With 9720 damping permutations across three adjuster knobs, you can run a softer setting for the drive to the circuit and stiffen rebound for the session itself. Braking stability improves because the nose stops diving as far under load, which buys you confidence to brake later into the heavier corners. Ride height adjustability also lets you sort the Stream’s slightly leggy front-arch gap – a meaningful cosmetic win that comes free with the geometry gain.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s competition range, alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds. It is the spec XYZ’s own race teams run for international circuit work, and the unit is validated through extended on-track testing rather than dyno cycles alone. The headline figure is 9720 individually selectable damping adjustments, accessed via three separate adjuster knobs – bump, rebound and a third compression-circuit knob – which is why the configuration count is so high relative to the standard 32-way damper market. One honest caveat XYZ states up front: the small-orifice oil passages that give the damper its track-spec response can produce a faint audible note when you hit larger bumps at low speed. That is by design – this is a circuit damper, not a B-road compromise unit, and the smoother surfaces of a circuit are where it lives.

Fitment for the Honda STREAM RN6/7/8/9 (2006-2014)

Confirmed fitment is the second-generation Stream, chassis code HN49, covering the RN6, RN7, RN8 and RN9 variants from the 2006 model year through to 2014. That spans the 1.8 FWD, 2.0 R-spec, and the RN9 four-wheel-drive cars – check your V5 chassis prefix against the listed codes before ordering.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
