Loose surfaces don’t forgive a Civic that’s set up for tarmac. Gravel stages and snow-covered forest roads throw compression events at a suspension that a circuit-biased kit on the FD1 simply isn’t built to absorb, and that’s the gap the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built to close on this chassis.
Where a track kit chases stiffness, this one is built around travel and thermal margin: longer stroke front and rear, plus a larger internal reserve of oil and nitrogen gas so the damper is still working properly after twenty minutes on a stage rather than after two hot laps. On the Modified Rr Integrated rear-end spec of the HN22-1, that extra buffer distance is what keeps the car settled when a compression catches you off guard mid-corner.
What this coilover does for your 2006-2011 Honda Civic FD1 (Modified Rr Integrated)
The extended front and rear stroke gives the FD1 genuine working travel over rutted gravel and compacted snow, so the chassis stays planted through compressions that would bottom out a shorter-travel road kit. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas capacity matters most on a long stage or snow-rally leg: more fluid volume means the damper sheds heat instead of building it, so the valving stays consistent from the first kilometre to the last instead of fading as the oil cooks. Three external adjustment knobs per corner let you retune compression and rebound between a fast gravel stage and a slippery snow section without pulling the dampers off the car. Because the internal oil passages are sized small to keep that adjustment precise, you may notice a faint noise through big hits, which is the valving doing its job rather than a fault.
About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover
XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow line specifically for rally and rally cross use, where the surface underneath the car changes every few seconds. Longer-travel front and rear dampers are the headline spec here: more stroke means more room to absorb a compression before the suspension runs out of travel, which matters far more on a rutted stage than on billiard-table tarmac. The bigger internal reservoir for suspension oil and nitrogen gas exists to fight heat soak specifically, stopping the shock oil temperature climbing so high on a long stage that the damper’s characteristics start to drift. Each corner gets three external adjustment knobs, giving separate control over the damping circuits instead of one compromise setting. The internal oil passages are deliberately small to keep that adjustment sharp, so a slight noise from the dampers over sharp bumps is normal on this product, not a sign of a problem.
Fitment for the Honda Civic FD1 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2006-2011)
This kit is built for the Honda Civic FD1, chassis code HN22-1, across the 2006 to 2011 production run. It’s specified for the Modified Rr Integrated rear-end variant of the FD1, so check your car matches that rear-suspension spec before ordering.

Spec the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow kit against your FD1’s Modified Rr Integrated rear end and configure yours below.
Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Front
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
Rear
AluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
