XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda CIVIC FD1 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2006-2011

The FD1’s multi-link rear end carries a softer tune than the FD2 Type R it shares a platform with, and on a car built for JDM sedan comfort first, that geometry starts working against you the moment lap times matter. This Circuit Master kit ships with a Modified Rr Integrated rear assembly specifically to correct that mismatch on the HN22-1 chassis, replacing the factory strut and shock geometry front and rear rather than just stiffening what’s already there.

It’s built for sustained circuit lap-time work – repeat sessions where a soft factory rear end starts to wallow and body control degrades lap over lap. On a 2006-2011 FD1 that’s spent its life as a daily sedan, that’s the gap this coilover is closing.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2011 Honda CIVIC FD1 (modified Rr Integrated)

The Modified Rr Integrated rear kit gives the FD1’s multi-link rear axle a mounting and damping setup matched to the front, so the car stops pitching between the two ends under trail-braking and mid-corner load changes. With 9720 combinations of damping adjustment split across the three external knobs, you can set the rear firmer than the front to tighten turn-in on a chassis that was never sold with that option from the factory. Ride height drops with the coilover sleeves, lowering the centre of gravity and cutting body roll through the sedan’s taller factory stance. For an FD1 built for repeat circuit sessions rather than a single hot lap, that adjustment range means you can walk the rear end back off if the track’s kerbs are punishing, without pulling the kit apart.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ Racing built the Circuit Master line for cars that live on a circuit calendar, not the school run – it sits above the brand’s road-biased ranges and is tested through XYZ’s own racing teams internationally. Each damper carries three external adjustment knobs feeding a fine oil-passage circuit, giving 9720 distinct damping combinations rather than a handful of coarse click stops. That fine metering is why the passage is small – over big kerbs or track bumps you may hear a faint oil-flow noise through the knobs, which is a normal side effect of the precision, not a fault. The monotube-style construction and adjustable range are aimed squarely at repeatable, session-after-session circuit use rather than a one-off track day.
