XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E90 M3’s S65 V8 sits further forward than any straight-six M3 before it, and that mass over the front axle is what the Racing Spec is built to manage. This is the suspension you specify when the car has already outgrown its EDC dampers, the stock geometry, and probably its tyres – when the goal is consistent lap times rather than a tidier commute.

Supplied with the cancellation module for the factory Electronic Damping Control, this kit lets you delete the EDC system cleanly and replace it with a fully manual, fully adjustable race damper. No fault codes on the cluster, no half-working hybrid setup, just a proper circuit damper end to end.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Once the EDC is out of the loop and the Racing Spec is in, the E90 M3 stops behaving like a fast saloon and starts behaving like the homologation-era touring car it always wanted to be. Turn-in sharpens because the front end is no longer waiting on a solenoid to decide what damping rate it should be running. Mid-corner the car carries speed without the secondary heave you get from the OEM setup loading up on a kerb. Under hard braking into a hairpin the nose stays settled, which is the single biggest thing the S65 needs to put its 414bhp down on corner exit. Independent damping adjustment lets you split bump and rebound, so you can chase rotation at one circuit and stability at the next without ever changing a spring.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s circuit-bred damper – settings developed directly through participation in series including the WTCC, then dropped into a kit you can bolt into a road-registered M3. Construction is geared around heat tolerance and consistent damper response across a full session rather than a single hot lap. Bump and rebound are split, giving you genuinely independent control rather than the single-knob compromise found on softer kits in the XYZ range. For cars running aggressive aero, slicks, or A-class-class build specifications, XYZ will build custom-valved units to your circuit and your part list – send them the build sheet and the venue and they will spec the damper for it. For an E90 M3 on semi-slicks at Donington or Spa, the off-the-shelf Racing Spec is already in the right window.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2007-2011)

Chassis code BM63-1-C, fitting the E90 saloon M3 with the S65 V8 from 2007 through to the end of production in 2011. This specific kit includes the EDC cancellation module, so it is the correct part number for cars optioned from factory with Electronic Damping Control rather than the passive setup.
