XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Toyota YARIS XP90 Modified Rear Integrated 2005-2011

The XP90 Yaris’s short wheelbase and light nose make it one of the more common sights on European junior gravel rally and rallycross entry lists, where a nimble front-wheel-drive supermini can carry corner speed that a heavier car simply can’t match on loose surfaces. What that same chassis punishes, though, is standard-issue suspension – soft factory dampers blow through their travel the moment a rutted gravel stage throws a compression or a rain-cut washboard section at speed.

XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover is built specifically for that environment. This is a set-up aimed at drivers running the XP90 on loose-surface stages or rallycross, not fast road or tarmac track work – the internals and spring package are chosen around bottoming resistance and repeated big hits, not one-lap circuit precision.

What this coilover brings to your 2005-2011 Toyota Yaris XP90 Modified Rr Integrated

On a car this light, the biggest gain is control through compressions and off-camber ruts without the suspension running out of usable travel. The inverted damper tube design keeps the working shaft shielded from the sandstone, grit and silt that a gravel stage throws up, which matters on a car with as little ground clearance margin as the XP90. Long-stroke construction and a correspondingly long spring give the rear end room to absorb chassis vibration and high-speed bounce over broken surfaces instead of transmitting it straight into the shell, and the setup is built to take the extreme lateral G-force generated mid-corner on loose stages without the damper losing composure. For a car whose factory suspension geometry was never built with rally-cross loads in mind, that additional stroke and shock isolation is the difference between a car that skips over rough ground and one that stays planted.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing developed this damper around the demands of rally and rallycross competition specifically, where road surface changes constantly between events – sandstone, snow-pack, or fine silt can all turn up on the same stage list. The inverted tube layout is a direct response to that variability, keeping contamination away from the shaft seal regardless of which surface the car is running on. Spring rates aren’t generic road-going numbers; they’ve been set and tested by an active rally racing team against the loads a gravel-spec car actually generates, from repeated high-speed compressions to sustained cornering G. The long stroke and matched long spring are there to let the damper absorb chassis vibration under aggressive attack rather than transmitting harshness through to the body, which is the core requirement of a car built to survive a stage rather than a smooth circuit lap.

Fitment for the Toyota Yaris XP90 Modified Rr Integrated (2005-2011)

This kit is built to the TO64 chassis code covering the Toyota Yaris XP90 across the 2005-2011 production run, with a rear integrated ("Rr Integrated") modified mounting configuration. Confirm your specific XP90 variant and rear suspension set-up against this listing before ordering, as rally and rallycross builds on this platform vary in prior modification.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
