XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru OUTBACK BS 4WD 2014-2019

The BS-generation Outback’s raised ride height and permanently engaged all-wheel-drive layout aren’t where most drift builds start, which is exactly why AWD gymkhana and rallycross-style crews running this wagon reach for it. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover kit for the Subaru Outback BS 4WD (2014-2019) drops that stance and opens up the adjustment range needed to hold an aggressive angle through quick direction changes.

Where a standard road coilover chases comfort, this kit is built around consistent body control at sustained slip angles, so the Outback’s considerable kerb weight doesn’t wallow mid-transition. It’s a coilover for owners who’ve already decided the BS wagon is their drift platform and want the suspension to keep up with that decision.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2019 Subaru Outback BS 4WD

Lowering the Outback onto this kit does two jobs at once: it drops the centre of gravity that the factory ride height works against, and it firms up body control so the wagon’s mass doesn’t lag behind steering input mid-drift. The three external adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently, softening the rear for easier initiation while keeping the front planted enough to catch the slide. Reducing bump stroke after the drop keeps the Outback’s AWD-biased weight transfer predictable through link and transition sections, rather than letting the tall stock geometry roll the body away from the line you’re trying to hold. For a chassis that was never meant to see this kind of lateral load, that predictability matters more than outright stiffness.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Drift Spec line specifically around drift competition, where keeping the body settled through a high-speed turn-in is what lets a driver hold a clean angle rather than fighting the car back onto line. The damper uses a three-knob external adjustment layout, with a small-orifice oil-flow design inside the piston that sharpens response once the ride height is dropped and the bump stroke is set correctly. One side effect of that small-passage design: on rough sections you may hear a faint noise through the damper as oil moves through the narrower orifice. That’s a normal characteristic of this valving, not a fault, and it’s the trade-off XYZ Racing made in favour of drift response. The kit is developed around circuit track surfaces, so the bump irregularities that would concern you on a road-going setup aren’t a factor here.

Fitment for the Subaru Outback BS 4WD (2014-2019)

This kit is built to the SU23 chassis code covering the Subaru Outback BS 4WD produced from 2014 to 2019, matching the wagon’s all-wheel-drive mounting points and ride height range. Confirm your Outback falls within that build window before ordering, as suspension geometry changed at the BS generation’s boundaries.

If the BS Outback is going to be your drift car, give it a suspension built for that job, configure your Pro Racing Drift Spec kit below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
