XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Nissan 370 Z Z34 Rear FORK (Modified Rear Integrated) 2009-2022

Drag racing puts a completely different load through a 370Z’s rear end than a circuit lap does. Off the line, the VQ37VHR’s torque wants to unload the rear tyres in an instant, and every millisecond spent with the drive wheels spinning instead of gripping is a millisecond added to the timeslip. XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover is built around that one moment: the launch.

Fitted to the Z34’s chassis, this kit isn’t chasing lean control or ride comfort – it’s tuned to help you load the rear axle faster and keep the tyre compressed against the strip for longer, which is exactly what a 400-metre pass rewards.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2022 Nissan 370 Z

On the 370Z, weight transfer under launch is the difference between a clean pass and wheelspin all the way through first gear. This coilover lets you rebalance that transfer front-to-rear specifically for the way the Z34 sends power down, adjusting how much load lands on the driven tyre in the instant the clutch or torque converter locks up. Rather than a spring rate built to control body roll mid-corner, the setup here is aimed at compressing the rear tyre into the surface at launch and holding it there, cutting down the idle spin that a stock or track-biased coilover would let happen. The result on a 370Z is a car that hooks up rather than lights up the rear tyres, which matters more to your ET than shock absorption over kerbs ever will. Because the setting works across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, on this RWD Z34 the adjustment range is there specifically to manage the way the VQ37’s torque hits the rear axle at wide-open throttle.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing built this range specifically around 0-400m drag racing, whatever the car’s drivetrain layout – front, rear or four-wheel drive. The core idea is deliberate weight transfer: the coilover is set up so ride height and compression can be biased toward the driven wheels the instant the car launches, forcing the drive tyre into harder compression against the track surface. That extra compression is what shortens the idle period where a tyre is spinning but not yet gripping, and over a repeat-pass event that translates into a more repeatable, more stable car through the first few car-lengths, when a run is usually decided. It’s a single-purpose design: not a coilover asked to also handle a track day, but hardware built around the physics of a standing start.

Fitment for the Nissan 370 Z Z34 Rr FORK (Modified Rr Integrated) (2009-2022)

This kit is specified for the Nissan 370Z Z34, chassis code NI04, across the 2009 to 2022 production run, with the rear FORK modified rear-integrated mounting configuration. Confirm your car sits within that chassis and year span before ordering, since this fitment is matched to the Z34’s specific rear mounting hardware rather than a generic strut length.

What buyers also search for

  • Nissan 370Z suspension setup built for the strip rather than the circuit
  • 370Z Z34 launch traction upgrade for drag racing and standing starts
  • Nissan 370Z drag racing coilover kit for weight transfer off the line
  • 370Z NI04 chassis coilover aimed at cutting wheelspin at launch

Drag strip results start with getting this weight-transfer setting right for your 370Z – configure your spec below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
