XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Nissan 370 Z Z34 Rear FORK (Modified Rear Integrated) 2009-2022

Point a 370Z into a loose gravel stage and the VQ37VHR’s 326bhp arrives faster than the rear axle can find grip. The Z34’s factory dampers were tuned for tarmac compliance, not repeated compression cycles over rutted, stone-strewn surfaces, which is exactly the gap XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover is built to close on this modified Rr-integrated rear-fork platform.

This is a rally-specific damper, not a track coilover pressed into gravel duty. It is built around long stroke travel and a long spring to soak up chassis vibration from washboard surfaces and absorb hard hits when the rear end unloads over a crest at speed, keeping the 370Z’s back axle settled through corner exit rather than skipping across the surface.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2022 Nissan 370 Z

The inverted tube design at the heart of this damper is the key to how it copes with changing rally surfaces – sandstone one stage, silt or snow the next – without the piston losing consistency as conditions shift underneath the car. On the Z34’s rear-fork-integrated end, that translates into a rear axle that stays planted when you’re back on the throttle early out of a loose hairpin, rather than one that steps out unpredictably as the surface changes underfoot. The long-stroke, long-spring combination is specifically about absorbing extreme G-force through direction changes, which matters on a chassis carrying the VQ37’s weight through fast transitions on a surface with a fraction of tarmac’s grip. Spring rates are set from data gathered by an actual rally racing team, not derived from road-going assumptions, so the platform holds its composure when the rear steps wide rather than pitching the driver into a snap correction.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing developed this damper specifically for rally and rallycross use, where road surface conditions are consistently the most punishing of any motorsport discipline – which is why the shock absorber itself becomes the single most stressed component in the car during a gravel stage. The inverted tube construction is a deliberate response to that variability, built to keep working as the same stage throws sandstone, silt and snow at the car within a single run. Stroke length and spring length are both extended beyond a standard coilover’s specification, giving the damper the travel to absorb chassis vibration from aggressive, high-speed bouncy roads while still controlling the axle when cornering loads spike hard. Every spring rate offered in this range has been validated on-event by a rally racing team rather than set on a flow bench alone, so the damping behaviour reflects what actually holds up when a car is being driven flat-out over broken ground.

Fitment for the Nissan 370 Z (2009-2022)

Built for the Z34-chassis 370 Z across the full 2009-2022 production run, this Gravel Rally coilover is engineered specifically for the modified rear-fork (Rr Integrated) rear-end configuration – confirm your car has this rear-fork modification before ordering, as fitment is tied to that specific rear-axle arrangement.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
