XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mitsubishi ECLIPSE TURBO 4WD 1989-1995

The first-generation Eclipse Turbo’s AWD layout puts a viscous-coupled centre diff and a 4G63T turbo motor sitting ahead of the front axle, so the car carries its weight differently to the RWD platforms most drift builds are set up around. Getting a clean angle out of an MT13 means fighting that nose-heavy torque split rather than working with it, and a coilover tuned for RWD habits will fall apart the moment you load the outside front under transition.

The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that AWD reality. Drop the ride height correctly, get the bump stroke matched to the car, and the chassis stops fighting you mid-transition – the body stays settled through the weight transfer instead of pitching and hunting for grip it doesn’t have.

What this coilover brings to your 1989-1995 Mitsubishi ECLIPSE TURBO 4WD

With ride height lowered and bump stroke set up properly, the MT13’s body stays stable through high-speed direction changes instead of rolling into the transition late – which is what lets you hold an angle rather than chase one. The 3 external adjustment knobs give you a way to trim the front and rear separately, useful on a chassis where the AWD driveline already skews the natural weight bias forward. Because the platform’s turbo and drivetrain add mass over the nose, having damping you can actually tune corner to corner matters more here than it would on a lighter RWD car – you’re compensating for where the weight already sits, not just adding stiffness for its own sake.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically for drift competition rather than adapted from a road or circuit-grip product. Its design is aimed at keeping the car’s body stable through high-speed cornering so the driver can hold a clean, controlled angle rather than fight body movement mid-slide. Correctly lowering the ride height and matching the bump stroke to the car is what unlocks that control – it’s not just a drop for stance. The unit uses 3 external adjustment knobs paired with a small-orifice oil-hole design internally; over sharp bumps that narrow oil passage can produce a faint noise as fluid moves through it, which is expected behaviour rather than a fault. It’s built with circuit-track use in mind, where surface bumps of that kind aren’t a real-world concern.

Fitment for the Mitsubishi ECLIPSE TURBO 4WD (1989-1995)

Built for the MT13 chassis Eclipse Turbo 4WD, covering the 1989 to 1995 model years. This fitment is specific to the AWD Turbo variant of the first-generation Eclipse – confirm your car carries the 4G63T engine and viscous-coupled AWD driveline before ordering, as coilover geometry differs from the naturally aspirated FWD versions of the same generation.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
