XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204 4 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2007-2014

The W204 C-Class was never built to see loose surfaces, which is exactly the problem this kit solves. Longer front and rear travel gives the chassis somewhere to go when the road turns to gravel, ice, or broken tarmac, instead of the standard-length strut running out of stroke and slamming into its bump stop mid-corner.

That extra travel is the whole point of the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow spec. It is built for rally and rallycross work, where the C-Class needs to stay planted through compressions and crests that would overwhelm a circuit-biased coilover in a couple of stages.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C Class

The increased suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume is the detail that matters most once you are into a long stage or a full day of loose-surface driving: more fluid means more thermal mass, so the shock has somewhere to shed heat before it starts to fade. On the W204, whose factory dampers were tuned around smooth-road compliance rather than sustained high-frequency loading, that headroom keeps damping consistent from the first corner to the last. The 3 external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound between a gravel stage and a snow-covered one without pulling the strut apart, useful given how differently the C-Class’s rear end loads up on ice versus loose stone. Extended travel front and rear also means less time spent on the bump stops, which on a chassis carrying the W204’s inline-four weight up front translates into more predictable turn-in when the surface is already unpredictable.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a damper built specifically for rally and rallycross use rather than tarmac circuit work. The longer-travel front and rear housings create a bigger buffer zone so the car stays composed over the kind of surface irregularities a smooth-road coilover was never asked to absorb. The larger reservoir of suspension oil and nitrogen gas is there to manage heat over a long stage, reducing the risk of the fluid overheating and the damper fading after repeated hard use. Because the 3 adjustment knobs route oil through deliberately small passages, you may hear a faint noise as the damper works through big hits on the track – that is the design doing its job, not a fault. It is a shock built to keep working when the terrain stops cooperating.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class (2007-2014)

This kit is built for the W204-generation Mercedes Benz C-Class, four-cylinder, with the modified rear integrated configuration (chassis code ME05-1), covering model years 2007 to 2014. Confirm your C-Class matches this specific rear-end configuration before ordering, as the W204 range spans several rear suspension layouts across its production run.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
