XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204 4 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2007-2014

The W204 C-Class’s rear multi-link geometry was signed off for a comfortable motorway ride, not for holding a sustained angle through a hairpin. With the M271 four-cylinder sat over the front axle, weight distribution already fights a driver trying to get the back end out and keep it there, and the factory spring rates and ride height only make that fight harder once the tyres let go.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover kit for the 4-cylinder W204 (chassis ME05-1, 2007-2014, modified rear-integrated spec) replaces that geometry with a setup built around one job: stabilising the body through a slide, not preventing it. This is the Drift Spec kit specifically – built for competitive drifting, not the fast-road or track-day ranges – so the priorities are body control and angle retention rather than outright grip.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C Class W204

Drop the ride height with the correct bump stroke set and the W204’s roll centre and centre of gravity come down together, so the body stays flatter through the transition from turn-in to full opposite lock. That flatter platform is what stops the rear end continuing to roll after the tyres have already broken traction – the car holds the angle you’ve committed to instead of snapping wider or tightening up on its own. For a chassis carrying the M271’s weight up front, that rear-end stability is what turns an unpredictable step-out into a slide you can hold and adjust on the throttle. The result on this C-Class is a car that answers steering and throttle inputs mid-drift rather than fighting body roll on top of the slide itself.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a road or track kit. The design is aimed at stabilising the car’s body through high-speed direction changes so the driver can settle the vehicle into a clean, controllable angle rather than fighting for it. Once the ride height is set correctly and the bump stroke is matched to the car, the kit is built to hold that drift-control window consistently rather than letting it drift (in the other sense) between runs. It’s a setup aimed squarely at drivers who need repeatable slide behaviour, not a generalist fast-road spring-and-damper package pressed into drift duty.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W204 (2007-2014)

This kit is specced for the 4-cylinder Mercedes Benz C Class W204, chassis code ME05-1, covering the 2007-2014 model years and the modified, rear-integrated rear-end configuration. Confirm your C-Class is the 4-cylinder variant with this rear specification before ordering, as coilover geometry differs across the W204’s engine and rear-end variants.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
