XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES G87 M2 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2023-2026

The G87 M2’s standard electronic dampers are calibrated for grippy Tarmac, not a loose gravel stage or a snow-packed forest road. Because BMW ties damping control into the S58’s electronics, running any mechanical coilover on this chassis needs a cancellation kit to take the car out of the electronic damper control loop – which is exactly what this fitment includes alongside the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow kit itself.

This is a longer-travel setup built for low-grip surfaces rather than a smooth circuit: bigger wheel articulation before the suspension tops or bottoms out, more oil and nitrogen gas capacity to cope with sustained stage work, and damping control fine enough to trim the car’s balance stage to stage or road to road.

What this coilover does for your 2023-2026 Bmw 2 Series G87 M2

Fit this kit and the first thing you notice is how much further the wheels can move before running out of travel. On a rutted gravel track or a snow-covered B-road, that extra front and rear travel keeps the tyre in contact with the ground instead of skipping across the surface, which matters enormously on a car sending 460bhp through the rear axle. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas volume means the dampers keep working consistently over a long stage or a full day in the hills, rather than fading as the oil heats up. Three external adjustment knobs let you soften the rear for a loose, low-grip surface or firm the front to control the nose during trail braking into a hairpin, without pulling the dampers off the car. Because the fitment includes the cancellation kit, the G87 M2’s electronic systems stop fighting a mechanical setup they were never calibrated for.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow line for rally and rally-cross use, where a car spends long periods loading and unloading its suspension over broken, uneven ground rather than cornering on a flat circuit. Both front and rear dampers get significantly longer travel than a circuit-spec kit, giving each axle a bigger buffer before it runs out of stroke over a crest, rut or compression. XYZ Racing also increases the internal oil and nitrogen gas volume well beyond a standard damper, which keeps the shock oil running cooler over extended stage distances and reduces the risk of damping fade as the unit works hard for long periods. Adjustment runs through three external knobs feeding small internal oil passages, and on the roughest hits you may hear a faint noise as oil moves through those passages – that is a normal by-product of the design, not a fault, and it does not affect how the damper performs.

Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series G87 M2 (2023-2026)

This kit is built for the G87-generation 2 Series M2, chassis code BM128-1-C, covering the 2023 to 2026 model years. It is specified for cars where the rear has been modified to run an integrated setup, and includes the cancellation kit needed to disable the factory electronic damper control before fitting a mechanical coilover.

If your G87 M2 needs to cope with loose surfaces rather than a dry circuit, this Gravel/Snow specification with the electronic damper cancellation kit is the fitment to start from – configure yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
