XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Toyota GR86 2021-2026

The ZN8 GR86’s suspension geometry is engineered around smooth tarmac – MacPherson struts up front, double wishbone at the rear, with travel calibrated for circuit and fast-road use. Take one to a gravel stage or a snow-bound auto test and the standard setup runs out of wheel travel long before the car’s inherent balance runs out. These Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilovers address that gap directly.

Built around a longer-travel architecture front and rear, the XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Toyota GR86 2021-2026 is the enabling modification for owners who compete on loose or frozen surfaces. The FA24’s rear-wheel drive layout makes the GR86 a natural on gravel when the damping lets the suspension breathe freely across the full stroke.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 Toyota GR86

Increased suspension travel at both axles gives the ZN8 chassis the buffer distance it needs on loose, rutted, or snow-covered surfaces. The rear double wishbone geometry works considerably better when the damper is not forced to manage extreme bump inputs at the very end of its stroke – and that is the practical dividend of the extended travel here. Three-way damper adjustment lets you match the setup to the specific surface and pace of your event, from a fast gravel sprint to a tighter snow autotest. Enlarged oil and nitrogen gas volumes reduce the thermal fade that compounds in standard coilovers during prolonged high-speed running, keeping the damper consistent across a full day’s competition without progressive softening.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

Designed for rally racing and rallycross rather than everyday road use, the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow is a dedicated competition damper – not a road coilover adapted for loose surfaces. Extended travel at both front and rear is the headline specification, providing the additional buffer distance that keeps the car planted when the ground beneath it is unpredictable. Damper oil volume and nitrogen gas capacity are enlarged specifically to manage heat build-up during sustained competitive use, addressing the thermal exhaustion that shortens standard damper life in back-to-back stage running. Three adjustment knobs give drivers precise damping control, with a small oil hole design that routes fluid through a narrow passage under large bump inputs; at very large deflections this can produce a minor noise, which is characteristic of the system and not a fault. On smooth circuit surfaces where bump inputs are controlled and predictable, no such consideration applies.

Fitment for the Toyota GR86 (2021-2026)

This kit is confirmed for the Toyota GR86 on chassis code TO35-2, covering the ZN8 generation from the 2021 model year through 2026. That spans the full production run of the current FA24-engined car, from its launch through to the end of the stated compatibility window.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
