XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Toyota GR86 2021-2026

The ZN8 GR86’s near-even weight distribution and rear-wheel-drive layout already invite rotation – that was the intention when the platform was engineered. Competitive drifting, though, demands something beyond natural playfulness: sustained high-angle cornering under load, where body control and angle precision separate a controlled run from a trip into the tyre wall.

The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Toyota GR86 (2021-2026) is built around exactly that requirement. Set the ride height correctly, bring the bump stroke into its working window, and the GR86’s balance shifts from road-biased to competition-ready – angle becomes repeatable, and the chassis settles under sustained throttle rather than hunting for a new equilibrium with every correction.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 Toyota GR86

Three independent adjustment knobs deliver separate control over damping characteristics and ride height – on a platform where even small geometry changes shift the rotation point meaningfully, that separation is not redundant. Lower the GR86 properly on this setup and the centre of gravity drops into a range where the car can hold an angle without body roll working against the driver’s inputs. The internal oil-hole passage design delivers progressive resistance through large bumps; on a competition circuit where the surface is consistent and predictable, this produces readable feedback rather than sudden spikes in damping force that upset a committed entry.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec

XYZ Racing designed the Pro Racing Drift Spec specifically for competitive drifting – not as a road suspension with occasional track ambitions. The three-knob system uses separate adjusters rather than a combined unit, which means ride height can be set independently of damping without one parameter contaminating the other; that matters when chasing a specific entry angle across multiple practice runs. The oil-hole construction produces a characteristic note over sharp-edged bumps – that sound is the passage geometry managing the load, not a defect, and drivers used to competition suspension will recognise it as normal. The engineering priority throughout was positioning the GR86’s bump travel in the operating range it actually uses during a drift, rather than the road-biased mid-travel range it occupies from the factory. Designed for circuit tracks.

Fitment for the Toyota GR86 (2021-2026)

This kit fits the Toyota GR86 on chassis code TO35-2, covering the ZN8 platform across the 2021 to 2026 model years. That is the FA24-engined second-generation car – not the original ZN6 86. If you are on a pre-facelift ZN6 platform, this is not your application. Confirm your build year before ordering.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
