XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT3 (without hydraulic lift system) 2013-2019

The 991 GT3 slings its naturally aspirated flat-six out behind the rear axle, and on gravel, snow or a broken tarmac stage that rearward mass is the first thing to let go when the surface turns marginal. The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover answers that with long-travel damping built to keep the contact patch loaded when the road stops behaving like a road.

This is the rally and rallycross member of the XYZ Racing range, not a track-day lowering kit. It trades ride-height drama for suspension travel and thermal headroom, so a 2013-2019 Porsche 991 GT3 run on loose or mixed surfaces stays composed through compressions that would have a short-travel coilover slamming into its bump stops.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2019 Porsche 991 GT3

The extra travel front and rear gives the GT3 a larger buffer before the suspension runs out of stroke, which on a loose surface means a car you can lean on rather than one that skips and deflects. Three-way adjustment separates bump and rebound, so you can free the dampers up for compliance over ruts and then firm them when the surface tightens. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas volume holds damper temperature down over long stage distances, so the rear axle keeps doing the same thing on the final corner that it did on the first. For a rear-engined car that punishes a tiring shock harder than most, that endurance is the whole point.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing builds this damper for rally and rallycross first, where the suspension has to swallow far more vertical movement than any circuit kerb will ask of it. Both front and rear units run longer travel than the road-and-track coilovers in the range, which widens the buffer distance that keeps the car stable when a wheel drops into a hole or crests a jump. The headline engineering choice is volume: more suspension oil and more nitrogen gas inside each unit, so the fluid takes longer to heat and resists the fade that finishes off a smaller-capacity shock after sustained use. Adjustment runs through three knobs, giving independent control over the damping behaviour rather than one combined setting. The small oil-hole design that makes this possible can produce a faint noise when you strike a large bump at speed, as the fluid is forced through a tighter passage – that is normal, not a fault.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT3 (2013-2019)

This kit is cut for the 991 GT3 chassis, code PO17, across the 2013 to 2019 build run. It is the specification for cars without the hydraulic front lift system, so the front strut tops mount in standard fashion rather than around the lift hardware. Check that your car has no factory front-axle lift before ordering, as that variant takes a different front fitment.

Set ride height, damping and surface bias for your 991 GT3 in the configurator below, and build yours to suit the stage car you actually run.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
