XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mitsubishi LANCER FORTIS 2007-2017

On gravel and packed snow, the Lancer Fortis runs out of useful suspension stroke long before grip runs out, and a road-biased kit just bottoms into its bump stops over crests and ruts. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis is a dedicated loose-surface damper built for stage rally and rallycross, where the wheel has to keep chasing the ground over terrain a tarmac coilover was never meant to see.

This is not a lowering kit with a softer valving curve. The Lancer nameplate carries genuine loose-surface pedigree, and the front-drive Fortis platform responds well to a damper designed around long travel and heat tolerance rather than ride height. If you run the 2007-2017 Lancer Fortis on dirt, snow or a mixed-surface stage, this is the suspension built for that brief.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis

The extended front and rear travel gives the Fortis a bigger buffer distance, so the car stays settled over compressions and landings instead of slamming through to the stops and unloading a wheel. The larger oil and nitrogen gas volume keeps damping consistent deep into a long stage, holding shock temperature down so the rear axle still controls itself on the last corner the way it did on the first. Three adjustment knobs let you set bump and rebound to match a fast gravel road or a low-grip snow stage, and the long-travel design means the Lancer Fortis keeps its wheels planted where a tarmac kit would have skipped wide.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow is engineered specifically for rally racing and rallycross rather than circuit or fast-road duty. Both ends gain significant travel over a tarmac-spec unit, increasing the buffer distance that keeps the car stable when the surface drops away. The headline of the design is capacity: a greater volume of shock oil and nitrogen gas, which raises stability and resists the heat build-up that exhausts a smaller damper over a long run. Control comes from three adjustment knobs feeding small oil passages. One consequence of that small-orifice design is a faint noise when the coilover swallows a big hit and oil is forced through the narrow passage. That is normal and expected on rough ground, not a fault.

This kit is built for the Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis, chassis code MT30, across the 2007 to 2017 production span. Confirm your chassis code and model year against the listing before ordering so the travel and mounting spec match your car.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
