XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda PREMACY 1998-2003

The MA28 Premacy left the factory sprung soft and long for family loads, with the tall body and forgiving damping that make a compact MPV easy to live with and quick to roll once you lean on it. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover answers a completely different brief: a loose-surface rally setup built to keep a Mazda Premacy composed across gravel, ruts and snow rather than dropped onto tarmac.

This is not a lowering kit for the road. It is long-travel hardware aimed at rally and rallycross, working with the BJ-platform Familia and 323 underpinnings that gave Mazda its real loose-surface heritage. If you are turning a 1998-2003 Premacy into something that earns its keep on a stage or a frozen test track, this is the coilover that fits the job.

What this coilover does for your 1998-2003 Mazda Premacy

The extended front and rear travel is the headline: it keeps the tyres loaded over crests, ruts and compressions where a short-travel tarmac setup would top out or bottom hard. The larger reservoir of shock oil and nitrogen gas resists heat build-up, so the damping stays consistent deep into a long gravel run instead of going off as the fluid cooks. Three separate adjustment knobs let you set the car softer for deep snow or firmer for hard-packed gravel without pulling the dampers off the Premacy. The result is a people-carrier that actually tracks straight over broken surfaces and puts its front tyres to work instead of washing wide.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow series is engineered first for rally and rallycross, where suspension travel and thermal stability matter more than ride height. Both ends gain a longer stroke than a circuit coilover, building in a bigger buffer so the damper has somewhere to go when the surface drops away, which keeps the car stable over rough ground. XYZ Racing increases the volume of both shock oil and nitrogen charge inside the unit, raising stability and holding off the oil-temperature spikes that fade a hard-worked damper after sustained use. Adjustment runs through three knobs, and the small-orifice design that makes that fine control possible can produce a faint noise as oil is forced through the passage over large bumps. That sound is normal, not a fault, and it is part of how the valving copes with the impacts a loose-surface stage throws at it.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
