XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda 323 1998-2003

The BJ-generation Mazda 323 carries its mass over the front axle, and on loose gravel or packed snow that nose-led balance is the thing you spend the whole stage managing. The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for exactly that: a long-travel, three-way adjustable damper aimed at stage-rally and rallycross use rather than smooth circuit tarmac.

Where a track coilover wants to sit low and tie the body down hard, this one does the opposite. Extra suspension travel front and rear keeps the 1998-2003 323 settled when the surface falls away beneath it, so the front tyres stay loaded through ruts, crests and compressions instead of skating across them.

What this coilover does for your 1998-2003 Mazda 323

Fit it to your 1998-2003 Mazda 323 and the first thing you feel is composure over rough ground. The longer stroke gives the front-drive chassis room to soak up gravel ruts and frozen ridges without slamming into the bump stops, which keeps drive going down on corner exit. The larger oil and nitrogen gas volume inside each damper resists fade on long stages, so the car behaves the same on the final mile as it did on the first. Three separate adjustment knobs let you set it up for a fast forest gravel stage one weekend and a slippery snow run the next. The net effect is a 323 that tracks straight under braking on loose surfaces and rotates predictably when you load the front.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow is engineered first for rally and rallycross, where suspension travel matters far more than ride height. XYZ Racing gives both the front and rear dampers a longer stroke, increasing the buffer distance available before the suspension runs out of movement and the car gets unsettled. The headline feature is capacity: each unit holds a greater volume of damper oil and nitrogen gas than a road or circuit kit, which holds shock temperatures in check and stops the oil being cooked out over repeated long-distance use. Adjustment runs through three knobs for independent control of the damper’s behaviour. One trait worth knowing – the valving uses a small oil passage, so over large impacts you may hear a faint noise as oil moves through it. That is normal for this design, not a fault.

Fitment for the Mazda 323 (1998-2003)

This kit is cut for the BJ-generation Mazda 323, chassis code MA15, built between 1998 and 2003. It fits the front and rear of that platform as a direct-replacement coilover. Confirm your chassis code and build year against the listing before ordering, since 323 running gear changed across generations.

Set your damping for gravel, snow or mixed stages and configure your Mazda 323 coilover kit below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
