XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Maserati GHIBLI M157 4WD (excl. EDC) 2013-2026

The Ghibli’s Q4 four-wheel-drive layout shuffles torque forward the moment the rear axle starts to spin, which on a standing start means close to two tonnes of executive saloon trying to find grip through all four contact patches at once. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover for the Maserati Ghibli M157 4WD is built around that single moment: the 0-400 metre run where the launch and the weight that pitches rearward off the line decide the whole time.

This is not a fast-road kit asked to do double duty. Where a road setup chases body control through a series of bends, this one is tuned for the launch and the high-speed stability that follows it. It is a non-EDC fitment, replacing the conventional passive dampers fitted to Ghibli models that left the factory without the adaptive Skyhook system.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 Maserati Ghibli M157 4WD

The headline gain is what happens in the first car length. The damping is set to let the Ghibli’s mass transfer rearward off the line and then load the driven tyres harder, increasing compression at the contact patch so the four-wheel-drive system has something to bite into rather than scrabbling. That cuts the dead time spent spinning before the car actually hooks up and pulls. Past the launch, the settings are aimed at keeping a 1.9-tonne saloon planted and predictable as the speed climbs, rather than going light and nervous at the top of the run. Ride height is adjustable, so you can set the rake and corner balance the platform wants for a clean getaway.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing developed this series specifically for 0-400 metre drag use across front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive cars, and the four-wheel-drive tuning is what applies to the Q4 Ghibli. The core idea is managing weight on demand: the setup lets the chassis shift load between the front and rear axles as the car launches and accelerates, forcing greater compression into whichever tyres are putting power down. More compression there means more grip, less wheelspin and less of the idle, traction-hunting time that bleeds a run. With the driven wheels loaded harder and the platform controlled, the car holds its line and stays stable as terminal speed rises. It is a focused, single-discipline coilover rather than a compromise that tries to cover commuting and track work as well.

Fitment for the Maserati Ghibli M157 4WD (2013-2026)

This kit is specified for the Maserati Ghibli M157, chassis code MS05, in Q4 four-wheel-drive form across the 2013 to 2026 model span. It is for cars without EDC: it replaces standard passive dampers and is not intended for Ghiblis fitted with the adaptive Skyhook electronic damping. Confirm your car is the non-EDC Q4 variant before configuring.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
