XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Land Rover FREELANDER 2 2006-2014

The Freelander 2’s tall body and raised centre of gravity make it an unlikely starting point for a competition drift build, and that is precisely the problem this kit sets out to manage. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover drops the LN02 onto a controlled bump stroke, pulling the roll axis down and taking the slack out of the chassis movement that defines the standard car on the road.

This is a circuit-focused setup, designed around track use rather than gentle daily driving. It is built to stabilise a heavy crossover body through high-speed direction changes, hold the platform steady as weight transfers across the axle, and give the driver the control needed to set and keep a deliberate angle.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Land Rover Freelander 2

Lowering the Freelander 2 onto its proper bump stroke is where the change becomes obvious: the body settles, roll drops away, and the front end stops washing wide as you load it up. The three adjustment knobs let you tune the damping and ride height to match the surface and the way you want the car to break traction. On a tall AWD platform that naturally resists rotation, that adjustability is what turns body control into a usable, repeatable angle. Expect a firmer, more deliberate response than any road-biased SUV setup, with the weight transfer working for you rather than against you.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover engineered specifically for drift use rather than adapted from a fast-road kit. The design is intended to steady the vehicle body during high-speed cornering so the driver can hold a clean angle, and to sharpen overall drifting behaviour once the ride height is set with the correct bump stroke. Three adjustment knobs handle the tuning, and the damper uses a small oil-hole passage in its valving. Driving over large bumps forces the oil through that narrow passage, which can produce a faint noise – this is normal for the design and not a fault. The kit is built for the smoother surfaces of circuit tracks, where road-style bump compliance is not the priority.

Fitment for the Land Rover Freelander 2 (2006-2014)

This kit is matched to the Land Rover Freelander 2, chassis code LN02, covering the 2006 to 2014 model years. Confirm your build year falls inside that span before configuring. Fit only the spec listed for this chassis – do not assume cross-compatibility with the earlier Freelander 1.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
