XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Land Rover FREELANDER 2 2006-2014

The Freelander 2’s tall AWD monocoque, soft factory damping and near-1.8-tonne kerb weight make it an unlikely loose-surface contender – which is exactly the problem the XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built to solve. This is a rally and rallycross damper first, designed to keep a high-riding Land Rover composed when the surface stops being tarmac.

Where the standard LN02 setup leans on long, progressive springs and generous body movement for comfort, this kit brings longer-travel dampers and far greater fluid capacity to control that mass over ruts, jumps and broken gravel. It is the spec you fit when the Freelander 2 is going to be worked hard away from the road, not softened for it.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Land Rover Freelander 2

The extra suspension travel front and rear gives the Freelander 2 a bigger buffer before the damper runs out of stroke, so the car stays settled through compressions and landings instead of crashing into its bump stops. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas volume keeps damping force consistent as a stage goes on, resisting the fade that wrecks a heavy SUV’s composure after sustained loose-surface abuse. Three independent adjustment knobs let you tune the damper to the terrain – softer for deep gravel and snow, firmer where grip is firmer. The result is a Freelander 2 that puts its Haldex-based four-wheel drive to work rather than fighting its own roll.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is engineered specifically for rally and rallycross use. Its defining feature is volume: XYZ Racing have extended the quantity of both shock oil and nitrogen gas inside the damper body, which raises stability and stops the oil overheating and degrading under long, repeated loading. The longer front and rear travel increases the buffer distance that keeps the car stable when it is pitched into rough ground. Adjustment runs across three separate knobs, and the design uses a small oil-hole passage – when you hit a large bump the fluid is forced through that narrow passage, which can produce a faint noise. That is normal behaviour, not a fault, and it is the by-product of a damper built to swallow the impacts a rough stage throws at it.

Fitment for the Land Rover Freelander 2 (2006-2014)

This kit is built for the Land Rover Freelander 2, chassis code LN02, covering the full 2006 to 2014 production span. Confirm your model year falls inside that window before configuring, and check your spec against the options below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
