XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Honda CIVIC ES1/2/3/ET2 2000-2005

The seventh-generation Civic saloon dropped the old EK’s front double wishbones for MacPherson struts, and on gravel or snow that revised front end asks for travel and damping discipline a tarmac kit simply never has to provide. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Honda Civic ES1/2/3/ET2 is built for that loose-surface job – stage work where the suspension has to swallow ruts, crests and compressions without running out of stroke.

This is the long-travel, high-fluid-volume end of the XYZ Racing range, set up for rally and rallycross rather than smooth circuit laps. It carries more suspension oil and nitrogen than a road or track damper, and three separate adjustment knobs let you set the car up for the surface in front of you.

What this coilover does for your 2000-2005 Honda Civic ES1/2/3/ET2

The extended front and rear travel gives the front-drive ES chassis a bigger buffer over a crest or a pothole, so the inside wheels stay loaded and the nose keeps biting on a slippery stage instead of skating wide. The larger oil and nitrogen volume is the real story here: it holds damper temperature down over a long run, so the shocks resist the fade that wrecks a tarmac kit when it is asked to work loose ground for minutes on end. Three-way adjustment means you can soften for a rutted forest section or firm up for a faster, smoother gravel road without swapping hardware. On a light, eager FWD car like this Civic, that consistency is what keeps the back end rotating predictably when you lift or trail-brake into a hairpin.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is engineered first for rally and rallycross use. The defining feature is the longer travel at both axles, which increases the buffer distance and keeps the car settled when it is being worked hard over rough ground. To support that, XYZ Racing increases the volume of both the shock oil and the nitrogen charge – more fluid and gas raise stability and stop the oil overheating and giving up after sustained use, which is exactly the failure mode that ends a stage. The three adjustment knobs run a deliberately small oil passage; when you hit a big bump, fluid forced through that narrow port can produce a faint noise, which is normal behaviour for this design rather than a fault. It is a competition coilover for demanding surfaces, not a comfort-led road item.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
