XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Dodge NEON 1999-2005

The second-generation Dodge NEON arrived as cheap, light, front-drive transport, and that is exactly why it became a grassroots rallycross and loose-surface staple on both sides of the Atlantic. Fit a set of XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilovers and the intent is unmistakable: this is a long-travel rally damper, not a track-day lowering kit chasing a flush arch gap.

Where most coilovers fight for ride height, the Gravel/Snow set is built to survive broken ground. The longer front and rear travel and the bigger bump buffer keep the NEON’s nose composed when it lands off a crest or skips across ruts, so the front axle stays loaded and the steering stays honest when grip is scarce.

What this coilover does for your 1999-2005 Dodge NEON

On a FWD car as light as the Neon, suspension that runs out of travel turns every yump and pothole into a missed line. The extended stroke here gives the simple MacPherson front end room to work, while the larger reservoir of damper oil and nitrogen gas keeps damping consistent down a long gravel stage rather than going soft as heat builds. Three independent adjustment knobs let you firm things up for hardpack and dry tarmac links, then back off for snow, mud and standing ruts. The result is a Neon that puts its modest power down on surfaces where a stock strut simply skates.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is the rally and rallycross specialist in the XYZ Racing range, engineered around travel and thermal endurance rather than outright lowering. Both ends gain stroke and a larger buffer distance to hold the car stable through heavy compression, and the shock body carries a deliberately increased volume of oil and nitrogen so temperatures stay in check after sustained hard running, where a smaller damper would fade. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs feeding a small oil-passage design; on big hits you may hear a faint note as oil moves through that passage, which is normal behaviour for this construction and not a fault. It is purpose-made for loose-surface competition, with no concern for the bumps and impacts of a rough stage.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
