XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Subaru WRX VB (NON Electronic Suspension) 2022-2026

Gravel stages punish a damper harder than any circuit, and the Subaru WRX VB’s rally bloodline makes it the obvious base for a loose-surface build. These XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilovers are built for exactly that job: sandstone, snow and silt taken at speed, with the symmetrical AWD VB chassis loaded up and working.

The non-electronic-suspension VB is the right starting point here, because it drops the adaptive-damper hardware and leaves a clean mechanical platform to take a long-travel, long-spring setup. The inverted-tube construction and rally-validated spring rates are aimed at one thing – keeping the FA24 boxer’s drive planted when the surface stops cooperating.

What this coilover does for your 2022-2026 Subaru WRX VB (NON Electronic Suspension)

Fit these to a 2022-2026 Subaru WRX VB and the difference shows up the moment the tarmac runs out. The long stroke lets each wheel follow a rutted, bouncy stage road instead of skating across the top of it, so the symmetrical AWD system keeps all four contact patches doing useful work. The long springs and compliant rates – signed off by a rally racing team rather than guessed at – absorb the chassis vibration that would otherwise unsettle the car mid-corner. Under hard cornering the dampers carry heavy G-force without fading, which on gravel means a front end you can lean on through fast sweepers and a rear that stays honest when you ask it to rotate. You end up with a WRX that attacks a loose surface instead of merely coping with it.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally coilover is the most specialised damper in the XYZ Racing range, developed specifically for rally and rallycross rather than circuit or fast-road use. XYZ start from the premise that rallycross throws the most aggressive surface conditions in motorsport at a car, which makes the shock absorber the single most important component on the stage. To handle it, the design uses an inverted-tube layout – stiffer against the side loads and stone strikes a stage delivers – paired with a deliberately long stroke and long spring. That combination is what lets the suspension absorb chassis vibration, attack high-speed undulations without bottoming, and still bear the extreme cornering loads of a flat-out run. The damper is engineered to read changing surfaces, from sandstone to snow to silt, and every spring rate in the kit has been tested by a rally racing team rather than set on a spreadsheet.

Fitment for the Subaru WRX VB (NON Electronic Suspension) (2022-2026)

This kit is cut for the Subaru WRX VB (chassis SU27), specifically the non-electronic-suspension cars built from 2022 to 2026. It suits the standard-damper variants – if your car runs the electronically controlled suspension, this is not the correct fitment. Confirm your suspension type before configuring.

  • Subaru WRX VB gravel rally coilovers for loose-surface stage and rallycross use
  • Long-travel WRX VB suspension that soaks up rutted, high-speed gravel roads
  • Rally-rate coilovers for the 2022-2026 WRX VB without the electronic damper hardware
  • Inverted-tube Subaru WRX VB dampers built to take stone strikes and stage abuse
  • Symmetrical AWD WRX VB setup tuned for sandstone, snow and silt

Pick the spec that matches your stage surface and build yours below – every option for the WRX VB is in the configurator.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
