XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru WRX VB (NON Electronic Suspension) 2022-2026

Drifting an all-wheel-drive Subaru is a deliberate act of provocation, and the VB WRX makes you work for the angle. The Subaru Global Platform gave this generation a stiffer shell and a heavier nose than the old hatch-era cars, so holding a sustained slide on a symmetrical AWD chassis comes down to how cleanly you can load the outside corner and keep the body settled mid-rotation. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is built for exactly that job.

This is a competition damper aimed at drivers chasing initiation and angle, not a comfort kit with a lower ride height. On the 2022-2026 WRX VB it is specified for the standard, non-electronic suspension cars only, so there is no fight with factory adaptive damper wiring during the swap.

What this coilover does for your 2022-2026 Subaru WRX VB

Drop the VB onto a sorted bump stroke and the FA24’s nose-led weight stops pitching forward under hard transitions, which is what lets you commit to an entry without the front washing wide. The firmer damping keeps the body flat through high-speed direction changes, so the moment you provoke rotation the chassis holds its attitude instead of bobbing and unloading a tyre. Ride height and corner balance are adjustable, letting you set rake and a workable stroke for your driving style. The payoff is a WRX that initiates predictably and stays controllable deep into the angle, where a soft factory setup would simply settle and grip back up.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Drift Spec series specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a road kit. The design brief is body stability during high-speed cornering: keep the shell composed while the car is sideways so the driver can hold a consistent, repeatable angle. Lowering the ride height is paired with a properly judged bump stroke, and it is that relationship between stroke and height that XYZ singles out as the key to clean drift control. The result is a damper tuned to enhance slide initiation and the ability to carry angle, with the geometry and valving sorted around competition use instead of street compliance. For a heavy AWD platform like the WRX VB, that control over body movement is what makes a coilover worth fitting.

Fitment for the Subaru WRX VB (2022-2026)

This kit is cut for the VB-chassis Subaru WRX (SU27 platform) across the 2022 to 2026 model years. It fits the standard suspension cars only and is not intended for trims running the factory electronically controlled dampers, so confirm your variant before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
