XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S (without hydraulic lift system) 2019-2026

The 992 Carrera 4’s Porsche Traction Management system is excellent road technology, but on circuit it creates demands of the dampers that the stock PASM setup was calibrated to soften rather than serve. Feed the 992 hard into a corner and the front axle, carrying load from the AWD torque split against the car’s inherently rear-biased weight, needs damping that responds to the pace rather than the road-comfort envelope Porsche designed around.

The XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilovers for the 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S come with settings developed through direct WTCC racing programme participation. This is not road-derived data extrapolated upward; it is damper behaviour validated at sustained circuit speeds, on the kind of surfaces and in the kind of conditions where a road coilover quickly shows its limits.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S

Replacing the variable-rate PASM dampers with a race-derived coilover changes the 992’s on-circuit character from managed to precise. The Carrera 4 carries its mass rearward, and under heavy braking that pendulum effect wants to rotate the car; consistent damping at all four corners manages that rotation and leaves the PTM system free to work on exit traction rather than compensating for chassis movement.

Running without the hydraulic lift system means the front geometry stays exactly where you set it across the session – no hydraulic actuation introducing variability. Spring rates drawn from WTCC competition give the Racing Spec a communicative, repeatable character that rewards commitment through the corners.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The XYZ Racing Racing Spec is a competition-grade unit with settings derived directly from WTCC event participation – that origin separates it from track-day coilovers that start as road products with spring rates shuffled upward. WTCC demands sustained damper performance across a full race session, through varying surface conditions, at speeds and corner loads that road testing never approaches.

For most track and time-attack applications, the kit ships ready-calibrated for the 992 platform. Where a car carries serious drivetrain or aero modifications – upgrade levels associated with factory-class race vehicles or A-class competition builds – XYZ Racing builds a fully custom specification. The owner supplies a complete breakdown of modified components and the intended circuit; from that, a bespoke shock absorber profile is built around the car’s specific corner frequencies and weight distribution. This is a proper engineering conversation, not an option code.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S (2019-2026)

This kit covers the PO28 chassis in Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S specification, across the full 2019-2026 production run. It is designed for cars WITHOUT the factory hydraulic lift system fitted. When HLS is present, the front suspension architecture incorporates hydraulic components that sit alongside the damper; this kit assumes an HLS-free front end and is not compatible with cars that have the system installed.

Check your build documentation or VIN specification before ordering.
