XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Nissan SKYLINE R33 BCNR33 4WD (Rear FORK) 1995-1998

The BCNR33 arrived in 1995 with a 105 mm longer wheelbase than the R32 it replaced – a deliberate choice to build high-speed composure into the chassis, the kind of stability that let it post sub-eight-minute laps of the Nürburgring. That extra length is a genuine circuit asset, but the heavier kerb weight it brings also means the ATTESA E-TS Pro has more car to manage under hard corner loading, and the stock suspension setup leaves meaningful scope for improvement if the car is used regularly on track.

The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover for the Nissan Skyline R33 BCNR33 (1995-1998) is built around exactly that use case. Validated through extended sessions at international competition circuits by XYZ’s own race teams, it gives the RB26DETT’s twin-turbo torque a suspension system capable of delivering it cleanly to tarmac rather than fighting the 4WD transfer on corner entry.

What this coilover does for your 1995-1998 Nissan Skyline R33 BCNR33

The ATTESA E-TS Pro reads rear wheelspin and sends torque to the front axle accordingly – but the quality of its decision-making depends on what the suspension is telling it. Consistent, finely controlled damping at all four corners gives the system cleaner mid-corner inputs, which translates directly into more predictable and exploitable 4WD behaviour under trail-braking and on power out of slow corners.

Three independent adjustment knobs provide 9,720 discrete damping combinations. That range is wide enough to address the R33 GT-R’s front-to-rear weight distribution as conditions or surface type change, without needing to pull the dampers to alter the setup. Ride height adjustment allows the BCNR33 to sit at a credible circuit stance rather than the OEM-spec ride height the standard suspension assumes.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master represents XYZ Racing’s answer to the demands of competitive circuit work – alongside Racing Spec, Drift Spec, and Tarmac Rally variants in the range, it is the option aimed specifically at sustained lap-time use on smooth competition surfaces. Its calibration has been developed by XYZ’s own racing teams across international tracks, giving the adjustment range credibility beyond what bench testing alone would produce.

The three-knob control system draws on a small-oil-passage damper design: under hard kerb strikes, oil moving through the fine internal channel can produce a faint mechanical note. This is inherent to the construction and not a defect – on a standard circuit surface with controlled kerb use, the condition is seldom triggered. The coilover is designed for asphalt circuit conditions and performs accordingly.

Fitment for the Nissan Skyline R33 BCNR33 (1995-1998)

This kit is confirmed for the Nissan Skyline R33 in BCNR33 4WD specification, covering the full production run from 1995 to 1998. The rear fork designation in the product name identifies the rear damper lower-mount configuration this coilover is built for – verify your car’s rear mount type before ordering if your R33 has been modified or retains non-standard rear damper mounts. Chassis code NI39 covers all standard BCNR33 cars in this range.
