The Mitsubishi 380’s defining characteristic on circuit is its weight. A large, front-wheel-drive V6 sedan pushing somewhere north of 1,500 kg over the front axle, the MT01 platform generates body roll under lateral load and the progressive understeer that follows when you ask a heavy FWD car to rotate through medium-speed corners. Managing that weight transfer precisely is where a circuit-specific coilover earns its place.
Factory suspension on the 380 is calibrated for a very different brief – long-distance comfort, a degree of compliance, the expectation that most owners will never push the front axle past its limit. On track, those calibrations work against you. The Circuit Master resets the damping baseline to what the chassis actually needs when lap time matters.
What this coilover does for your 2005-2007 Mitsubishi 380
The most immediate gain on a 380 is body roll reduction. Lowering the centre of gravity on a tall sedan body changes how weight transfers laterally – the car stays flatter through corners, which keeps the front tyres more consistently loaded and gives you cleaner steering feedback through the wheel. With 9,720 distinct damping combinations across three independent adjustment knobs, the setup can be matched to specific circuit characteristics: a smooth, high-speed layout calls for different settings than a stop-start club circuit with abrupt elevation changes. For a big FWD car where the front end carries both steering and braking loads simultaneously, that adjustability is not a luxury – it directly determines how much confidence you can carry into a braking zone and how cleanly the car rotates on turn-in.
About the Circuit Master
The Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s performance coilover range alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec, and Tarmac Rally variants – each optimised for a different competitive discipline. Development has run through XYZ’s own racing teams across circuits internationally, a process that validates oil seal durability, valve consistency, and body rigidity under the sustained thermal and mechanical stress that road-only testing never replicates. The three-knob adjustment architecture delivers 9,720 distinct settings by combining independent control over compression and rebound characteristics. One point worth understanding before installation: the precision small-passage oil valve design that underpins the kit’s response can produce an occasional sound over abrupt, large-amplitude bumps. On a proper circuit surface this is irrelevant – circuit kerbs and camber changes do not generate the input that triggers it. On a road section en route to a track event, it may be faintly audible over severe potholes. This is normal behaviour from the valve architecture, not a component fault.
Fitment for the Mitsubishi 380 (2005-2007)
This kit is built specifically for the Mitsubishi 380 on the MT01 chassis platform, covering the full production run from 2005 to 2007. The fitment is confirmed for MT01 body and suspension geometry – check your build year falls within that span before ordering.

A heavy FWD platform rewards methodical damping setup more than most; configure yours below and work through the adjustment range to find what suits your circuit.
Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
AluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
