XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Maserati MC20 (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) 2020-2026

The MC20 sits in an awkward spot for anyone who actually wants to drive it hard on a loose surface. Modena built a 621bhp carbon-tubbed mid-engined supercar with a Nettuno V6 that revs to 8,000rpm, then handed it to owners who, in some corners of the world, point them up gravel hillclimbs and private estate tracks. The factory hydraulic lift system keeps the splitter off speed bumps; it does nothing to keep the chassis composed when the surface goes from tarmac to broken stage road.

The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the 2020-2026 Maserati MC20 is built for that exact problem. It is a loose-surface specification – longer stroke, softer initial rates, more compliance over compression hits – aimed at owners running their MS06 chassis on gravel, fire roads, or rough-surface events where the factory dampers run out of travel inside a hundred metres.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Maserati MC20

A mid-engined car with the mass sitting behind the driver punishes a damper that cannot manage rebound on a loose surface. The Gravel Rally spec gives the MC20 the suspension travel it needs to keep the rear contact patch loaded when the road surface stops being a road. Spring rates are set softer than the road-going XYZ ranges so the chassis absorbs gravel inputs rather than skipping across them. Adjustable damping lets you bias the car toward stability on faster sections or toward turn-in on tighter, slower stages. Ride height is raised relative to a circuit setup to give the underbody and the carbon tub the clearance they need on broken surfaces.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally specification is the loose-surface variant of XYZ Racing’s competition coilover line. Construction is monotube, with a longer-than-standard damper body to give the additional bump and rebound stroke that gravel work demands. Spring rates are loose-surface-tuned rather than carried over from the tarmac catalogue. Damping is independently adjustable so the car can be set up stage by stage against the conditions on the day. The coilovers are supplied as a direct fitment for the MS06 chassis, retaining the factory pickup points so installation does not require chassis modification. Important note on this part number – it is the suspension hardware only and is not integrated with the factory hydraulic nose-lift control system; that system remains a separate question for installation on a lift-equipped car.

Fitment for the Maserati MC20 (2020-2026)

This is a direct fitment for the Maserati MC20 on the MS06 chassis code, model years 2020 to 2026. The kit is specified for cars equipped with the factory hydraulic lift system but does not include or replace the control side of that system. Confirm specification with your installer if the car has been modified from factory.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
