The MC20 is a mid-engined carbon-tubbed supercar that arrived with Maserati’s own 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 and a chassis aimed squarely at the 720S and Huracán. It is also a road car that ships on a soft, comfort-biased damper tune – sensible for Modena boulevards, less so when you want the front axle to actually commit on turn-in. The factory hydraulic nose-lift is what makes this fitment specific: the MS06 chassis variant listed here carries the lift hardware but excludes the OE control system, so the coilover has to live alongside that plumbing without fouling it.
This is the Drift Spec kit for owners running their MC20 hard on circuit or in lairy private-track work – the spec sheet the car arguably should have left the factory with for buyers who treat it as a driver’s tool rather than a Sunday showpiece.
What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Maserati MC20
Stiffer, monotube-damped springs strip out the float the OE setup leaves in fast direction changes, particularly through a left-right transition where the carbon tub wants to settle faster than the dampers will let it. Adjustable ride height lets you sit the car level once Pirelli Trofeo Rs are loaded with heat and pressure, instead of running the nose-up rake the factory dialled in for ground-clearance margin. Independent rebound and compression control means you can hold the rear axle planted under power-down out of a hairpin while keeping the front compliant enough to take a wet kerb. Pillowball top mounts give you static camber adjustment up front, which the OE arms simply do not offer in any meaningful range. The hydraulic-lift compatibility is engineered in, not bolted around – the coilover assembly clears the lift actuator path on the front axle so you keep the driveway-entry headroom that makes the car liveable.
About the Drift Spec coilover
Drift Spec sits at the firmer end of the XYZ Racing range, built around a 30-way damping adjuster that controls rebound and compression together via a single circuit on each unit. Construction is monotube with a separate gas chamber, which keeps oil under pressure and stops the cavitation that ruins damper consistency once a session goes long. Spring rates are pitched higher than the Circuit Master tune to control body roll on a heavy mid-engined platform, with linear rates front and rear for predictable load build. Pillowball upper mounts replace the rubber-bushed OE tops, which sharpens steering response and removes the deflection that masks small input changes. Camber adjustment is integrated into the front top mount. The kit is supplied with the correct strut geometry for the MS06 chassis and the hydraulic-lift bracketry that this specific Maserati MC20 variant carries from the factory.
Fitment for the Maserati MC20 (2020-2026)
This kit fits the Maserati MC20, chassis code MS06, model years 2020 through 2026, in the variant equipped with factory hydraulic lift but without the OE electronic control system. If your car has the full active suspension control module, this is not the right SKU – check your VIN build sheet before ordering.
