XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Hyundai COUPE 2002-2009

The GK Hyundai Coupe was always a stylist’s car wearing a tuner’s chassis – a long bonnet, MacPherson struts up front, multi-link rear, and a kerb weight light enough that the 2.7 V6 and 2.0 four both punch above expectations once the standard dampers stop fighting you. The Circuit Master coilover is built for owners who have moved that car past Sunday duties and onto a circuit, where the GK’s natural understeer balance and soft factory roll need a properly valved twin-knob solution to behave.

This is the top of the XYZ Racing competition ladder, sitting alongside the brand’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally setups. For a 2002-2009 Hyundai Coupe being campaigned on track days, sprint days or club-level circuit events, this is the kit designed to take the abuse and reward the driver with a chassis that actually rotates.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2009 Hyundai Coupe

Out of the box, the GK Coupe leans hard, runs out of front grip mid-corner, and asks too much of its tyres on a hot circuit. The Circuit Master pulls the body down onto the suspension, takes the slop out of weight transfer, and gives the front axle the platform stability it needs to actually bite on turn-in. With 9720 distinct damping combinations available across three adjustment knobs, you can run a stiff, flat setup for a smooth UK circuit like Bedford or Llandow, then soften the high-speed compression for a rougher surface like Cadwell without ever pulling the dampers off the car. Expect sharper turn-in, a far more honest rear axle under trail-braking, and brake pedal travel that no longer wanders as the front end dives.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s circuit-focused range and has been developed and validated by XYZ race teams on international circuits over extended testing programmes. The three-knob adjustment architecture splits bump and rebound control across separate circuits, with a small-orifice high-speed bump design that gives the platform the precision a circuit driver wants when loading the chassis through fast direction changes. That same small-passage design is the reason the vendor flags a characteristic – over sharp road bumps the oil moving through the tighter passage can produce a low audible note. It is normal, it is a function of the valving choice, and it disappears on smooth circuit asphalt where this damper is meant to live. The kit is engineered for sustained circuit lap-time work where consistent damping behaviour over a 20-minute session matters more than supple road compliance.

Fitment for the Hyundai Coupe (2002-2009)

This kit is specified for the GK-generation Hyundai Coupe (chassis HY04) across the full 2002 to 2009 production run, covering both the 2.0 four-cylinder and 2.7 V6 variants on standard suspension geometry. Confirm your spring rate preference and any extended top-mount requirement during configuration below.
