XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda TL UA6-UA7 2004-2008

The fourth-gen Acura/Honda TL is a 1,600kg front-driver with a long nose, soft factory damping and a willingness to roll onto its outside-front tyre that punishes anyone trying to carry mid-corner speed. The Circuit Master coilover for the UA6-UA7 TL is built to stop that – to flatten the body, plant the contact patch and give the J32 a chassis that can be driven properly on a circuit instead of managed around its understeer.

This is the top of the XYZ Racing ladder, sitting above Super Sport and Top Sport, and it is the spec you choose when the car is going to see repeated sessions at Donington, Cadwell or Anglesey rather than the occasional B-road blast.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2008 Honda TL UA6-UA7

The dominant feeling you get back is composure. The Circuit Master damper has three separate adjustment knobs covering compression and rebound, which means the soft, dive-prone front end of a stock TL becomes something you can actually load progressively into a brake zone without the nose collapsing. Roll on entry drops, weight transfer happens in a controlled arc rather than a flop, and the front tyres stop scrubbing speed off mid-corner.

Spring and ride-height adjustment let you sit the car properly over its wheels, recover camber and clean up the geometry that goes lazy on a 20-year-old chassis. With 9720 possible adjustment combinations on the table, you can take a single set of coilovers from sticky-tyre track day to wet-session damping without unbolting anything.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s competition-grade platform, sitting in the same family as their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally dampers and tested under XYZ Racing teams in international circuit competition. The three-knob layout splits damping control so you can set high-speed and low-speed behaviour independently rather than chasing a compromise on a single dial.

That 9720-way adjustment count is not a marketing figure – it is the product of separate compression and rebound circuits multiplied through the three knobs, and it is what lets the same damper suit one driver’s trail-braking style and another’s earlier-apex line. The trade-off, and XYZ is honest about it, is the small-orifice oil passage inside those circuits: drive over a sharp expansion joint and you may hear a faint hydraulic note as oil moves through the tight passages. That is the cost of admission for circuit-spec damping control and it disappears on smooth tarmac.

Fitment for the Honda TL (2004-2008)

This kit is built for the fourth-generation Honda/Acura TL on the UA6 and UA7 chassis codes, covering the 2004 through 2008 model years. It is fitment-specific to that platform – the front MacPherson and rear multi-link geometry of the UA6-UA7 – so the mounting hardware, stroke and spring rates are matched to the car rather than adapted from a universal kit.
