XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari CALIFORNIA (Both front and rear top mount are 2 holes) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2014

Drifting a front-engined V8 Ferrari is not a normal proposition, and the California is not a normal candidate. The 4.3-litre flat-plane up front, the rear-mounted twin-clutch gearbox, the relatively long wheelbase – it adds up to a chassis that rewards a setup willing to lock the body flat and let the driver work the rear with throttle rather than chassis flop. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the 2008-2014 Ferrari California (FE04-1-C, the 2-hole top-mount variant with the electronic-damping cancellation kit included) is built for exactly that job.

This is the Drift Spec, not the road kit. It exists to keep a car composed at the angles where a softer setup would wash the front and fold the rear, and to make the transition between grip and slip something the driver chooses, not something the chassis decides.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2014 Ferrari California

Drop the ride height with the correct bump-stroke and the California’s centre of mass falls into a window where weight transfer happens fast and predictably. That is the point. The Drift Spec calibration is set up to stabilise the body through high-speed entry, which on a 2+2 GT of this size is where amateur drift setups fall apart – the nose pitches, the rear gets light at the wrong moment, and the angle collapses. With the chassis held flatter, the driver gets a longer, cleaner window to commit, hold angle, and feed corrections through the steering rather than the throttle. The cancellation kit also takes the factory magnetorheological damping out of the loop cleanly, so there are no fault codes fighting the new hardware.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is purpose-engineered for competitive drifting rather than retuned road kit. XYZ have built the damping curves around high-speed cornering stability – keeping the body resistant to roll on initiation, so the rear has a stable platform to slide from – and around drift-specific control once the car is sideways. Lowered ride height combined with appropriate bump stroke is part of the design intent, not a side effect: get the geometry right and the controllability through transitions sharpens up. Construction follows the rest of the XYZ range – adjustable damping, height-adjustable lower mount, spring rates chosen for the discipline rather than for ride comfort. This is hardware aimed at drivers who already know what they want the car to do.

Fitment for the Ferrari California (2008-2014)

This kit is for the FE04-1-C California specifically – the variant where both front and rear top mounts use the 2-hole pattern, model years 2008 through 2014. It ships with the cancellation kit needed to retire the factory electronic damping system, which is essential on a car that would otherwise throw a chassis fault every time you turned the ignition.

A California built for drift is a rare brief and a serious one – pick your spring rate and ride-height window in the configurator below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
