XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BYD HAN DM / EV 2020-2026

The Han is a two-tonne luxury saloon with a battery floor that sits low and a torque delivery that arrives in a single hit – the kind of weight and instant load transfer that eats standard dampers within a handful of hard sessions. The Racing Spec coilover for the Han DM and EV is built for owners running this car in earnest on circuit, where the body-roll and brake dive of a heavy EV platform need controlling far beyond what any factory damper was ever asked to do.

This is the top of the XYZ Racing ladder for the Han – a damper specified from data gathered in series including WTCC, then re-valved around the mass and centre-of-gravity reality of a 2020-2026 Han. It assumes you already know your circuit, your tyre, and roughly where you want the car to sit.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Byd 漢 HAN DM / EV

On a Han carrying a battery pack low in the chassis, the Racing Spec controls the slow vertical movement under braking that otherwise unloads the inside rear and pushes the nose wide on entry. You will feel the platform stay flatter through high-speed direction changes, with the rear axle following the front rather than catching up half a beat late. Heat fade across a 25-minute session drops sharply versus the OEM dampers, which is the difference between a consistent set of laps and a session that gets vaguer with every lap. Spring and damper rates have headroom for slick tyres and aero, so the car does not run out of damper authority the moment you start adding grip.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s circuit-focused tier, with valving derived from direct participation in series such as the World Touring Car Championship. The construction and adjustment range are specified for repeated heat cycles and the high spring rates that competitive lap times demand, rather than the compromise valving of a road-biased coilover. For cars running heavily modified set-ups – aggressive aero, slick rubber, A-class race spec – XYZ Racing will build custom-valved units against the specific car, circuit, and modification list supplied by the customer, which matters on a platform as unusual as a Han where off-the-shelf damper data is thin. The brief is straightforward: a coilover that behaves the same on lap one and lap fifteen.

Fitment for the Byd 漢 HAN DM / EV (2020-2026)

This kit fits the Han DM (plug-in hybrid) and Han EV from the 2020 model year through 2026, covering the EV chassis code. The damper hardware accounts for the weight and ride-height geometry of both drivetrain variants, so DM and EV owners are on the same base part number.
