XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F22 (M235i) (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2014-2026

The F22 M235i left the factory with electronic damping control managing a chassis that already puts down serious power through the rear axle, and that factory EDC module is exactly what has to be removed from the equation before a fixed-rate coilover can do its job properly. Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s dedicated track and time-attack platform, built with an integrated cancellation kit so the car’s rear suspension geometry and EDC wiring are dealt with at installation rather than left half-converted.

On a rear-drive turbo six-cylinder like the M235i, uncontrolled body roll under trail-braking translates straight into an unpredictable rear end mid-corner. Racing Spec is built to remove that variable entirely, giving the F22 a damper platform tuned around repeat-lap consistency rather than daily-drive compromise.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2026 BMW 2 Series F22 (M235i)

With the electronic damping cancelled and replaced by XYZ’s manually adjustable Racing Spec dampers, the M235i’s rear end stops hunting for a setting and instead holds the rate you choose, session after session. Ride height drops through the full coilover range, lowering the car’s centre of gravity and sharpening turn-in on a chassis that was already sharper than most in its class. The stiffer spring rates and firmer low-speed damping cut the pitch and squat that come with the M235i’s torque delivery under hard acceleration and braking into a corner, so weight transfer front to rear happens on your terms rather than the suspension’s. Because the cancellation kit is built into the kit rather than bodged in afterwards, the rear multi-link geometry stays correctly located through its full travel instead of binding against a mismatched EDC mount.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is the damper XYZ Racing builds specifically for circuit racing, with its base settings drawn from direct involvement in touring car competition including WTCC. That racing-derived starting point means the valving is calibrated for sustained high-load cornering rather than a single quick lap, which matters on a car like the M235i that owners genuinely take to track days rather than just car park roll-outs. For cars carrying heavier factory-style modifications, or builds closer to a genuine A-class racing specification, XYZ Racing also offers bespoke shock absorber builds, made to order once you supply details of the car’s upgrades and the circuit it will be run on. On the M235i, that same flexibility means the base Racing Spec kit can be treated as a strong track-day starting point, with a fully custom build available if your car and circuit demand it.

This kit is built for the F22-chassis BMW 2 Series in M235i specification, covering the 2014 to 2026 production span, with the modified rear integrated design and its EDC cancellation kit fitted as standard to replace the factory electronic damping hardware.
