XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ50 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2012

The Golf R Mk6’s factory DCC dampers are built to read the road, not the loose stuff under it, so anyone pushing this 4WD hatch onto gravel, snow stages or a rallycross circuit is fighting electronics tuned for tarmac. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover strips that out and replaces it with a mechanical, long-travel platform built around this exact φ50 shock body and the Mk6’s modified rear-integrated mounting.

Because this fitment includes the cancellation kit for the electronic damping system, the factory DCC wiring and control unit are bypassed cleanly rather than left throwing fault codes, so the car’s ECU stops hunting for a damper it no longer has.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2012 Volkswagen Golf Mk6 4WD φ50

Extended front and rear travel gives the Mk6 a bigger buffer before the suspension bottoms out over ruts, compressions and unpredictable surface changes, which matters far more on gravel and snow than it does on smooth asphalt. The increased suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume in each damper keeps internal temperatures in check during sustained stage or circuit running, so the damping stays consistent instead of fading as the oil heats up lap after stage. With 3-way adjustment, you can firm up the platform for a fast, well-graded stage or soften it for a rutted, technical one, all on the same Golf. The φ50 body and rear-integrated mount are matched specifically to this chassis, so there’s no compromise for a wider Golf application squeezed onto this car.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is XYZ Racing’s rally and rallycross-oriented damper, built around longer-stroke front and rear units so the car can absorb bigger hits without the suspension running out of travel mid-corner. The larger oil and nitrogen charge in each shock is there to manage heat over a long stage or a full track session, reducing the risk of the shock oil cooking and the damping going soft when you need it most. Each damper carries 3 external adjustment knobs, metering damping force through a small internal oil passage; on rough surfaces this passage can produce a faint clicking or ticking noise as oil moves through it, which is a normal characteristic of this design rather than a fault. It’s engineered for circuit and stage use where big compressions and repeated bumps are the norm, not the exception.

Fitment for the Volkswagen Golf Mk6 4WD (VO18-A-C, 2008-2012)

Built for the 4WD Golf Mk6 with φ50 shock bodies, modified rear-integrated mounting and the cancellation kit required to remove the factory electronic damping control. Confirm your car sits within the 2008-2012 production window and carries this 4WD, modified-rear-integrated spec before ordering, as earlier or later Mk6 variants use different mounting hardware.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
