XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Toyota GR YARIS GXPA16 4WD (Modified Rear Integrated) 2024-2026

The GR Yaris’s GR-FOUR four-wheel-drive system was built to shuffle torque between axles mid-corner, and that variable split is exactly what makes drift setup on this car different from a two-wheel-drive hatch. Weight transfer under lift-off and the rear axle’s own load behaviour both need controlling before the car will hold a consistent angle rather than snap in or wash out.

The Drift Spec coilover for the GXPA16 is built around that specific problem: stabilising the body through high-speed direction changes so the rear stays predictable when you ask it to step out. Lower the ride height correctly, get the bump stroke set up properly, and the GR Yaris starts rewarding committed inputs instead of punishing them.

What this coilover does for your 2024-2026 Toyota GR Yaris

Dropping the ride height on the GXPA16 lowers the centre of gravity and tightens the body’s response to steering and throttle inputs, which matters more on a car juggling front and rear torque than on a car that only has to manage one driven axle. Correctly configured bump stroke keeps the rear axle composed as weight shifts rearward under transition, so the chassis doesn’t porpoise or lose contact patch mid-slide. The result on the GR Yaris is a car that holds its line through a committed angle rather than requiring constant correction – the suspension is doing the stabilising work so you’re not fighting the car and the throttle at the same time. Ride height, damping and the car’s own 4WD torque behaviour all have to be tuned together on this chassis, which is why a generic fast-road coilover doesn’t cut it for drift use on a GR Yaris.

About the Drift Spec coilover

This design exists for one job: drift competition, not track lapping or road use. The internals and valving are set up to stabilise the vehicle body specifically through high-speed turning, so the car holds a clean, controllable angle instead of snapping into oversteer or scrubbing off the drift mid-corner. Bump stroke is calibrated to work alongside a lowered ride height rather than against it – get that combination right and the difference in how the car controls through a slide is immediately obvious from the driver’s seat. It’s a setup built around rear-axle stability and body control at the limit, which is the specific demand drifting a 4WD car like the GR Yaris places on a suspension kit that road-biased coilovers aren’t set up to meet.

Get the ride height and bump stroke dialled to how you actually drift the car – configure yours below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
