XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Toyota GR YARIS GXPA16 4WD (Modified Rear Integrated) 2020-2024

The GR Yaris GXPA16 is a rare thing among modern hot hatches: Toyota built it backwards from motorsport rather than the other way round, homologating the road car to unlock the WRC Rally1 machine and tuning the GR-Four all-wheel-drive system underneath it with stage driving in mind from the outset. A coilover set up for tarmac trackdays misses the point entirely on this chassis.

The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is built for exactly the environment the GXPA16 was homologated against – loose, broken, unpredictable surfaces where wheel travel and damper consistency matter more than outright stiffness. It is the spec for stage work and rallycross, not smooth-tarmac lapping.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2024 Toyota GR Yaris GXPA16 4WD

On a gravel stage or rallycross circuit, the GXPA16’s short wheelbase and variable GR-Four torque split reward a chassis that stays planted through compression rather than skipping over ruts. The long-stroke, long-spring layout absorbs the constant chassis vibration thrown up by loose surfaces, keeping the tyre in contact with the ground through the high-speed, bouncy sections that pack a road-biased damper out in seconds. Inverted tube construction shields the working parts from the stone chips and dust ingress that gravel driving guarantees on every run. The extra travel also copes with genuine G-force loading through fast direction changes without bottoming the suspension out mid-corner. Fitted to the GR Yaris, it turns the standard GR-Four platform into something that can be pointed at a stage rather than just admired at a car meet.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally is XYZ Racing’s damper for rally and rallycross use, where the road surface is about as aggressive as motorsport gets – sandstone, snow, silt, whatever the stage throws underneath it. Inverted tube construction keeps the shock shaft protected from debris impact and contamination, which matters more here than almost anywhere else the car will be driven. A long stroke paired with a long spring lets the damper absorb persistent chassis vibration rather than pass it straight into the structure, while giving the wheel the travel it needs to keep tracking the ground over fast, broken terrain without running out of movement. The spring rates are not a desk exercise: XYZ’s rally racing team sets and tests them under real competition loading, so the base rate arrives proven against the G-forces a stage car generates through fast corners, not just modelled on a rig.

Fitment for the Toyota GR Yaris (2020-2024)

This kit is built to the TO63-4 chassis code for the GR Yaris GXPA16 in its 4WD (GR-Four) form, covering the 2020 to 2024 model years, and is listed for the modified rear-integrated rear mounting this variant specifies. Confirm your GXPA16 matches this rear-mount configuration before ordering.

Spec only matters once it is matched to your car and your event – configure your GR Yaris Gravel Rally coilover below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
