XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Suzuki LIANA 2001-2007

The Suzuki Liana started life as a tall, softly sprung family compact, and that is exactly why it makes an interesting loose-surface weapon: a willing FWD platform with the body movement and ground clearance that a gravel stage actually rewards. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is built for that environment, not for a smooth circuit, and it changes how the SZ03 chassis handles being thrown at a rough road.

This is a gravel-specific damper for owners running a Liana on stages, forest tracks or rallycross. It trades the low, firm calibration of a tarmac kit for long travel and rally-tested spring rates, so the car can soak up impacts and stay planted where a road suspension would skip, bottom out and run wide.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2007 Suzuki Liana

On a loose surface the Liana’s relatively tall body wants to pitch and float, and that is what this coilover sets out to control. The long-stroke design gives the wheel room to follow ruts and compressions instead of unloading mid-corner, which keeps the front tyres biting for traction and braking. The long spring and rally-derived rates let the car attack fast, bouncy sections without crashing into the bump stops, while still managing the lateral G-force the chassis sees when you commit to a gravel turn. The result is a Liana that tracks straighter over washboard, lands more predictably after crests, and feels far more composed when the road surface stops cooperating.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing designed this damper specifically for rally and rallycross use, where the road conditions are the most punishing in motorsport and the shock absorber does most of the work. It uses an inverted-tube layout for the strength and consistency needed across changeable surfaces – sandstone, snow and silt all behave differently, and the construction is built to cope with each. The long stroke and long spring are the core of the design, letting the suspension absorb constant chassis vibration, deal with high-speed impacts from broken ground, and carry serious cornering loads without packing down. Every spring rate in the kit has been validated by XYZ Racing’s own rally team rather than set on paper, so the calibration reflects real stage running.

Fitment for the Suzuki Liana (2001-2007)

This kit is built for the Suzuki Liana on the SZ03 chassis across the full 2001 to 2007 model run. Confirm your chassis code and registration year against the SZ03 designation before ordering so the spring and damper specification matches your car.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
