XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru FORESTER SK 4WD 2018-2024

The Forester SK is not the obvious drift platform – a tall, permanent-4WD crossover with a raised centre of gravity was never meant to slide. That is precisely why the Pro Racing Drift Spec exists for it: to bring the ride height down, tighten the body control, and give the car a fighting chance of holding an angle instead of rolling through one. This is a coilover built specifically for stabilising the body under high-speed direction change, not for softening potholes.

XYZ Racing designed this kit around the demands of competitive drifting, where the priority is a controlled, predictable angle rather than outright grip. Once the SK’s ride height is dropped and bump stroke is set up correctly, the difference in how the car transitions into and holds a slide is immediately obvious.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2024 Subaru Forester SK

Lowering the Forester SK’s factory ride height directly attacks the crossover’s biggest handicap for drift work: body roll. With the centre of gravity brought down and the suspension properly set, the car stops fighting you mid-turn and starts rotating the way you’re asking it to. The 3-position adjustment knobs let you retune damping between a track session and a transport run without pulling the car apart, which matters on a 4WD platform where front and rear behaviour both need attention to get the angle right. Because this spec is built around bump stroke tuning rather than outright stiffness, you get body control through the transition without turning the SK into something unliveable on the way to the track. The result is a Forester that stabilises under high-speed turning instead of wallowing through it, which is the entire point of running an SK in competition in the first place.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built around one job: stabilising the vehicle body during high-speed cornering so the driver can hold a clean, controlled angle. The design targets exactly the point in a slide where most cars lose composure – the transition – and keeps the chassis settled through it. Ride height is dropped as part of the setup, and the bump stroke is calibrated specifically for drift-style loading rather than general road use. Damping adjustment runs through 3 knobs feeding a small oil-hole design; on rough track surfaces this can produce a faint noise as oil moves through the reduced passage, which is a normal characteristic of this valving and not a fault. The kit is built with circuit and track-day use in mind, so surface irregularities on a track are accounted for in the design rather than treated as an edge case.

Fitment for the Subaru Forester SK (2018-2024)

This kit is built for the Subaru Forester SK 4WD, chassis code SU22, covering the 2018 to 2024 model years. Fitment is specific to the 4WD SK generation – confirm your Forester matches this chassis code and year range before ordering.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
